Early December, 2001

Early December we had a visitor from the bay area, Scott, who was in the DC area for a Libertarian Party convention. Helio, Scott, and I (Leslie) ate Moroccan food in Georgetown for lunch and then hung out at home until after dinner.

We hosted a Hannukah Party at our house. Tio Sergio and cousin Michelle enjoyed the potluck meal. Michelle's mom, Sylvia helped in the kitchen. Most of the kids worked together to make dreidel dessert decorations.

We ate, chatted, told the story of Hannukah, sang, said prayers, gave the kids presents (and some adults got some too), and then played dreidel while Gaby watched.

As the party was winding down we got ready and had someone take a family shot. Danny later woke up and checked out the gifts that he missed opening and had a little visit with his cousin. Gaby also gave Michelle a goodbye hug.

Danny has a small baseball and bat. Gaby really enjoys playing with it too (usually bonking her brother on the head with the bat) - she is quite a tomboy . On the other hand, she also really likes to wear dresses, bracelets and tights. The kids often enjoy watching videos.
