Hi everyone!

Joyous New Year to All!

Well, eventhough this is not (directly) realted to Sinead, I wanted=20
to share my good news! I will be traveling to Europe in July for=20
about 1 month. I am very excited, I'm going with my mom, we had=20
planned this trip years ago and now it finaly realizes.

Anyhow, Dublin is in the itinerary (YEAYYYY!) and as any good Sinead=20
fan, I am secretly hoping I will run into her at the grocery store or=20
something :)

If there are any Dubliners in JITR, and you feel like suggesting=20
things to do there, feel free to let me know. I usually like to get=20
the locals' advise on what to see as opossed to what travel agencies=20
and books say. I can't wait to go see the book of Kells at Trinity=20
college, though.

Well, enough of this before I upset someone!

Cheers and I hope the JITR come back to life, and soon!

Ana

Hi all....

First, I am wondering when will we have a new single from F&C....does anyone
has a confirmation (like, are we sure there is, if I remember well, Daddy
I'm fine coming up?)and a date?

secundo,I just wanted to share my excitement following my first listen to
ygdrassil's cover of TROY.

Eduard sent it to me and I really am thrilled about that duet Dutch band.
Amazing female harmonies with a simple guitar. (it reminds me a bit of the
group MURMURS I don't know if any of you know that band......)

Their version of troy has less anger and wailing but is soooooo original. I
was really ready for a sinead mimic wanna-be cover, but it's really not
that.

Any of you heard it? What d'you think?
And a special thank u goes to Eduard.

Happy New Year dear quiet gang.

Hi all,

Today a new sinead compilation cd has been released in the netherlands.
Not one of those I did it myself cdr-s, but an official release from Disky
records (an emi-sublabel).

The tracks are kinda surprising:.....

1. I do not want what I gaven't got
2. Jacky
3. Three babies
4. FOB
5. Black cofee
6. Thank you for hearing me
7. Scarlet ribbons
8. In this heart
9. Never get old
10. I want to be loved by you
11. Black boys on mopeds
12. Drink before the war
13. famine
14. This is a rebel song
15. The last day of our acquintance

A strange compilation, none of the big hits is included and the cd starts
with the accapella I do not want. Nevertheless a rare cd as it's (and only
will) be released in Holland.
For all those intrested I can (and will) go to the record store to buy it
for you.
Price is 15 dollars (not mine, but the record store) and there is $3 more
for postage (when you want it send without it's jewel case postage is $2).

So let me know if intrested in this nice rare gem.

If you want to see the pictures, go to:

in which sinead appears at some 5 songs.
EXTREMELY RARE, completely out of print and IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.

Price for this one will be $50, postage included, first comes, first gets
as this is the only copy I have.

I do accept pay-pal for this

Hey there -

I forwarded the original message I got from artshapes.com
but here's the deal again: The Irish Times (www.ireland.com)
and the on-line source for Irish stuff, artshapes.com, has
started a new poll for the Best Irish Album 2000 which will
be open till the end of January.

Sinéad's currently the 9th (amongst 10 entries!!!) with
thirty-something votes. GO HAVE YOUR SAY AT:

http://www.artshapes.com/votehere2.html

Cheers,

Deniz

Hi -

The Grammy nominees have been announced as you probably
know. Sadly, (not really actually, but still...) there are
no nominations for Faith And Courage and Sinéad.

Even a MOR ballad like When You Love was of no use.

Cheers,

Deniz

That is very sad. Wow, I thought for sure that this CD and Sinead would =
be
the first choice. Well, I am a member (as of last month) of NARAS who =
runs
that grammy thing and I can nominate CD's for 2001 (no help for this =
year
however). I certainly would nominate a Sinead CD. Amazing that no one =
would
have nominated F&C?! What a scandal. Well, it's an award anyway,not =
voted on
by the people but people in the industry who are probably still =
recovering
from soiling themselves after hearing the genius of Sinead and =
F&C....hehehe

On my rugrats cd this is what it says:
When you love
performed by Sinead O'Connor
(adam anders/maribeth derry/nikki hassnman
Ensign Music Corporation/Sony ATV songs (o/b/o itself & SwedeDreams Music)
BMI/Famous Music Corporation/Criterion Music corp./Little fireball Music/EMI
April Music Inc. ASCAP

Produced by Wyclef Jean and Jerry "Wonder" Duplessis
Co-produced by George Acogny
Remixed by David Tickle

Coutesy Of Atlantic Recording Corporation
2000 Atlantic Recording Corporation

I hope that helps Deniz......it does not say one thing about who wrote the
song.
You may already have this information if you have the cd.
I got this from the RugRats Movie Sound Track.

Wow Dan!

I've just spent an enjoyable few moments taking a look at some of the new member
pages. I will go back later to look at those I've missed. It is truly magical
to be able to get to know everyone better. Fascinating and quite moving: here
we are, fans from all over the world and we're able to connect via this little
machine in front of us and the power of Sinead's (and our) love.

I love learning more about JITR members and thank each and every one of you all
for sharing of yourselves.

It was great to read Lion's bio too - I have been wondering how you are doing
Lion and it was wonderful to read what you had to say there.

And Dan - your little baby is lovely! Congratulations to you & Cora. It gave
me goosebumps to see your little-un snuggled so safely there in the womb.
Technology may seem so 'technical' but there is real magic in being able to see
life before birth - it was a real honour to gaze upon your unborn child! Thank
you for sharing those pics with us all :o)

Blessings everyone,
Dark

LOL i just tried to vote for her like only 6 or 7 times, but since other
people are "going for the gold" I think I'll try my hand at more later on
today!

Molly,
I'd like it if you'd write out the words.

Hi friends!

I rarely find myself near a computer with internet access these days, but
I want to take this chance to ask if anyone has obtainined a copy of the
Jealous single that includes the video... I've seen it listed on eBay, and
it's also listed on Amazon. If you have it, PLEASE tell me! I want to know
if it's just a rumored release or not. I hope everyone is having a nice
holiday. I don't have to go back to school for another week, for which I
am very grateful. Hello especially to friends (you know who you are). I
wish I could write more, but I must go!

Ben

Hi -

Thanks for the offer Molly, but the lyrics are already
on the site. I was just wondering who acrually wrote the
song and if Wyclef or Sinéad was involved in writing.

Jacq - you can find the lyrics on the news section.

Cheers,

Deniz

PS. Molly can you please send me a test mail? Your messages
always seem to get lost!

I don't think she's ever recorded anything in Spanish, except fot the=20
weor Chiquitita, in that same song! :)

Good year to you too Jenny, and to everyone else!

I have a personal question for all:
Has anyone ever had a dream about/with Sine=E1d?
I think it's an interesting topic to explore, don't you? I haven't=20
had one, but I ususally never remember my dreams.

Ok, back to work now.

i was neither shocked nor surprised to see sinead finally, FINALLY use the
term BISEXUAL to describe herself. when she first came out as "lesbian" it
was my contention that she was bisexual---as are ever so many others---and
that folks making that extreme jump in labels are being a bit hasty and are
less accurately descriptive of their characters than they would be if they
chose to use the term "bisexual". for some reason it's more difficult to come
out as bisexual that as gay. anyway, i say right on for clarification, sinead.

also, i have been scanning magazine and newspaper "best of 2000" lists and
aside from TIME and one reviewer for ROLLING STONE, (i think it was) sinead's
F&C album is not included much at all. pj harvey is all over the place, which
i think is fabulous. i really love "stories from the city..." in fact i would
rank "stories," "faith & courage" and "tanto tempo" by bebel gilberto as my
top 3 albums of 2000. i wonder how much a cd's release timing has to do with
these ranking list things sometimes...

peace in 2001----

claudia

I've had a couple of dreams with Sin=E9ad, but a particular one I had (which=
 I=20
only remember because coincidentally, last night I was reading through my ol=
d=20
emails that I save of conversations with my best-friend-in-spirit, and I had=
=20
told her of this dream after I had it) and it was a tad strange... like I wa=
s=20
in love and married and feeling all nice and cozy and warm and fuzzy but the=
=20
strange part is that I was married to Sin=E9ad, which isn't so bad. I'm not=20=
a=20
lesbian or anything, but I absolutely 100% agree with Sin=E9ad on her not=20
believing in gay or straight. I mean I personally am physically attracted to=
=20
men as I don't desire a woman's body, but emotionally (which is more=20
important to me) I can see myself falling in love with a man or a woman=20
because I have been attracted to both all my life.

I think it just happened to be Sin=E9ad though, it coulda been anyone (like=20
Philip Anselmo or Lennox Lewis or Juliette Binoche :o)

Well ok just me thoughts
Kind regards
Tracie

sinead's
> F&C album is not included much at all

hi everybody,
just a small correction... she was included in Irish Independent "best of
2000" list.
This is what they wrote about F&C:
A year of passionate intensity
---
Faith & Courage - Sinead O'Connor
SINEAD O'Connor's ability to convey emotion through her singing is nowhere
more in evidence than on this classic record a beautifully emotional,
innovative and
searing piece of work that showed the girl is still keeping it real. And
how.

The passionate intensity never lets up for a moment. On The Lamb's Book of
Life, the 33-year-old angelheart sings: "But if you knew me maybe you would
understand
me/ Words can't express how sorry I am if I ever caused pain to anybody/ I
just
hope that you can show compassion and love me enough to just please listen."

Everyone should listen to Faith & Courage.
---

apart from that I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else either. seems
strange after the myriad brilliant reviews sent to jitr.
hope you are enjoying 2001,
pk

Here is a really funny dream I had recently with Sinead. I was getting high
with her, Phil Donohue, and my Gf cousin, Abdo. It was great. In another
dream I had I asked her if she would like to come to my house so I could make
her some good miso soup. I do so love Sinead, but I feel so dumb having
dreams about her. I mean exactly how does this person affect my life so that
Im dreaming bout her?

Hi everyone! I'm really really new here and really new to listening to
Sinead, but I wanted to say I'm really enjoying all of your e-mails :) I had
an interesting question....who else do y'all listen to? What other bands? I
bet there's a huge variety here :)

Going back into oblivion,

Hello,

I will be playing a solo electric gutiar show with guitar loops in
Bloomignton,IN but it will also be a cd release party.the reason I mention
this is that song #5 on the new CD is "song for Sinead", it has recently
been masterered and is supposed to sound really good.I have not heard it
since the remastering as the cd's will not arrive until tommorow morning.
Well, I will definitely let you know how it came out.I also have 2 songs
that someone on the lsit asked me to transcribe on guitar.I got those done,
but need to typoe them out in tab as soon as I get a chance, propbably this
weekend.

Thanks

I have strange dreams, and those dreams are almost always about Sinead and
one strange castle in Ireland. I dream Kilkea castle in Ireland. Those
dreams are not connected. I only know that when I have dreams about her that
they are colourfull and very real. Do you believe in past lives?

Currently, here in philadelphia, Sinead is #22 on their best of List. Dar
Williams is #2. There are not a lot of similarities between Dar and Sinead. I
like Dar, but she is sooooooooooooooo sweet and mushy. The radio station here
is exactly that also.

Hi Chrys, and welcome to JITR.

(And welcome back Amy G - how was your time away?)

Other musical artists that I enjoy are The Cure, Pink Floyd (some) Alanis
Morissette (please don't flame me everyone) Cranberries (see previous comment)
and most classical music, but especially Mozart, Handel, Puccini, Delibes,
Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Pachelbel... Strauss and some Bach
thrown in. Love Pavarotti. Can't STAND country & western music or Mariah
Carey. Also I like The Cheiftans, Bjork, and some good old 80's bands like Duran
Duran, Yazoo, Depeche Mode. I love kids' lullabies - Franciscus Henry does kid's
stuff really well.

To the bone though, I looooooveeee Sinead O'Connor & The Cure.

Need to go wash my mouth out now at having mentioned C & W'tern/Mariah Carey...
lol

P.S. Happy New Year to you too, Jenny!

Later all,
Dark

Wow cool Denis!

We will get to hear your new mastered version of Song For Sinead, yes? I've
heard it before on your website - but you WILL be uploading the new version,
right? Please even lol.

Good luck at your release!

Take care,
Dark

Oh a P.S. to my last e-mail (re artists I like) add to that list Denis and Clip
(who has band member Keri from this list) We have such amazing talent right
