hi jitr pple,

according to universal music, there's going to be a tribute album to
bob marley called _the rebel's dream_, scheduled for an oct release.
also, i just read from SPIN online that erykah badu, sheryl crow,
lauryn hill, sarah mclachlan et al will be at a tribute concert coming
this winter.

here's the article:

<This winter, TNT network, which previously presented televised
tributes to such American music geniuses such as Burt Bacarach and
Johnny Cash as part of its ongoing Masters series, will turn to a
Jamaican master, reggae legend Bob Marley for a third special. Bob
Marley, An All-Star Tribute, featuring Marley's music as celebrated by
a superstar roster including Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Sheryl Crow,
Busta Rhymes, Seal, and Sarah McLachlan, will tape on the beach of
Jamaica's Oracabessa Bay on Saturday, December 4 for broadcast on
December 19. Although Marley passed away in 1981, his family, wife Rita
and son Ziggy Marley and his Melody Makers will be on hand to perform
as well. As if that wasn't enough of a legacy, son Stephen Marley will
act as the co-musical director with super-producer Don Was. Check Noise
for updates on additions to the bill as details come in.>

one important question to any one out there who might know something:
is sinead -- who's like the biggest devotee of marley -- going to be on
this tribute album, as well as performing at the gig?

any info is appreciated.

thanks,
kai chai.

HI jumpers!

For a week or something I've been listening to Wim Mertens. I had a dream
last night that our lady and he were working together and that were going to
perform at Uruguay... YES, OBVIOUSLY A DREAM. I also think that when I was
dreaming I thought that I was dreaming because that will be TOO good. But I
must admit: IMPOSIBLE.
To the ones who knows Wim's compositions will understand what I am saying.
To the ones who don't knows Wim's compositions... YOU MUST.

well,
bye

Yea! on your move! Glad everything's going so well. My new
computer for which I've started receiving parts today will have
both a CD-RW and a DVD-ROM. Let me know if I can be of
assistance. Of course, I will be making my own move and
returning to grad school in a week, so it'd be a week or two
before I'd be of much use.

Also, I may -- not sure about this -- be able to make VCDs. I
know I'll be able to play them, but I'm not sure what I'd need
to do to be able to record them.

Actually, your CD is the US version, and the cassette is the version for
the rest of the world (unless Canada has the same one as the US). I own
both versions on CD, and I've seen the US version on cassette, so it
looks like both versions were released on both formats. It just depends
on the country where you buy it. I like the US version because it
includes Heroine and Just Like, but I would rather have something in
place of I Want Your Hands... Here's a little tidbit of trivia: the
version of Thank You For Hearing Me on the non-US version of So Far is
identical to the "radio edit," which was previously only on promotional
singles. As far as I can tell, all the other songs are same as the
original album versions. ...probably more information than most people
care to know! Take care.

a friend of mine just called me and apparantly, US magazine has printed a
small part of the letter i wrote to them regarding our girl.
by small part i mean just the four-lettered part.
(was it you, Ben, who liked that the best?)
no mention of their reporter's inaccuracies.
who knew jann wenner would have turned into such a as**hole?

and they printed my name which i wasnt thrilled about.
what a dopey magazine.
but hey....now i can say i've been published. ;o)~

Okay, call it doped up on cold medicine and muscle relaxers, but
what on earth are you talking about. I do admit that all of the
misunderstanding is on my part, but could you pleaaase dumb this
down so I can understand it, bxactly what part of your letter
did US publish? I mean, can you quote it precisely? I'm very
intrigued and jealous (hey, you are published!). Or is the "who
knew jann wenner would have turned into such an asshole?" the
part they published.

sorry,

i have a bad habit of assuming everyone always knows exactly what i am
talking about.

i havent seen the magazine but my friend said it begins
"shitting all over Sinead O'Connor is the longest running trend in
........." etc etc.
i am gonna go get a copy of it later on.

the jann wenner comment is new. :)

Hello,

after 4 years of using the same provider for $15 each month plus phonecosts
($100 each month) we decided it's time to move to a better (CABLE)
connection (better meaning faster, cheaper and 24 hours a day online).
Only extra work that comes with this change is to send address changes so
here's ours;

Our old address was; bobbink@telebyte.nl <---- PLEASE DELETE in your address
book

Our NEW address is; bobbink@chello.nl <---- PLEASE USE THIS ONE FROM NOW ON
!!

Thanx, and sorry for the trouble.

Okay, Hello everyone.

Sinead is rumored to have bought a mansion outside of Atlanta. Also, if
you go to Lilithfair.com, go to scrapbook, select 7/22-7/28 and go to 7/23,
there is a video to download under the indigo girls as artist of Sinead
singing. I somehow cannot get this to download, but I'm sure one of you
can. It may be one of her new songs! Keep us informed!

Christian

Hey All,

Thanks for the info Christian. I went to the Lilith Fair site and viewed the
clip! It was kinda choppy because I only have a 56K connection but it is a
song that I don't believe I have ever heard before! It used Quicktime to play
it and wouldn't allow me to download it! It is pretty cool to see her playing
her guitar with her collar on!! I never thought I would ever say this but I
have never seen a sexier priest in all my life! :o)

All the Best,

Ken

Hey Lita and Jumpers,

I took another look at the clip on the Lilith site and it ran a lttle
better for me this time. I have long hated my ISP because I don't think
that I get the best value for my connection! I am going to get a high
speed connection like DSL! I don't like the idea of a cable modem
because of the security problems! If any body has any information on
DSL I would appreciate it!! Does anybody have any horror story's about
the hook up!! I have heard some people say that it is a problem!!

Sorry about the computer talk but I am a bit fed up with the speed of
the machine!!

All the Best,

Ken

Hi all,

Went to Lillith here in Minneapolis, it was great!!
Got some pretty good shots of Sarah McLachlan, Dixie Chicks (sp?), and
Indigo Girls... ones of Sheryl Crow didn't turn out, neither did K's Choice
(which you may want to take a listen to...).
I can scan and send a few to you if you want to see...

Love, Peace and Harmony,
Holli Marshall

hi jitr pple,

just to let you completists know that the _stigmata_ soundtrack is
already out in the stores!

i got mine last nite, and 'release' is track no. 5 -- it's an edit
version, abt 4 mins long. basically they cut out the first few seconds,
and some of the bridge, but sinead's singing remains largely intact:)

unfortunately,it isn't a terribly fantastic soundtrack -- so, IMHO, the
afro celt CD is more value for money, if you haven't heard the track.

enjoy yr weekend.

kai chai.

WOW! The new song sounds cool! It reminds me of IDNWWIHG days, what
with the guitar and shaven head. I watched / listened to the clip
several times, and I think that song is very catchy, and more rock-ish
than GO and UM (even more than IDNWWIHG--dare I say it almost reminds me
a bit of TLATC???... but maybe a bit more sensual... It's hard to say
because of the quality and length of the clip). I'm excited for the new
album!

i feel like a moron writing these silly stories but i think it is so funny
and things have been quiet lately:
my grandmother is 69, came with me to england and decided i was insane to be
so obsessed with some bald Irish chick. but we spent the summer together up
here by a lake and after she heard danny boy wanted a mix tape. she lost a
son named danny a few years ago, the song was always a fave and so.....

so i made her one. now the woman is a total die-hard, she just called me all
excited to say there is a pic of the girl in her newspaper in an article
about hair. she is going to send it to me.
she has been making all her senior citizen friends listen to Am I Not Your
Girl and most of Universal Mother, wants to know when the next tour will be,
whether anyone can convince Sinead to tour florida playing Am I Not Your
Girl songs and goes on and on about the injustice of the media against the
girl and, sheesh - i have created a monster.
and
i also convinced a customer at the flower shop to start playing IDNWWIHG in
his restaurant at least once a week.
all fluff and no substance BUT a little progress, one person at a time.

i just picked up a new movie schedule for the roxie theatre here in sf. i
have marked my calendar for monday november 8 to go see RIGHTEOUS BABES. the
listing says:

RIGHTEOUS BABES passionately argues that feminism in the1990s is at its most
vibrant in popular culture and in particular in rock music. This sassy and
intelligent new documentary features tori amos, SINEAD O'CONNOR, chrissie
hynde (yay!), ani di franco, skin, saffron, shirley manson. music videos
of madonna, courtney love, queen latifah, neneh cherry, and the spice girls
are also included. produced and directed by pratibha parmar. color 3/4"
video. 50 minutes 1999 PRIMIERE!

i will write up a little review for the list after i see this film. people
in big us cities should keep an eye out for it too, it's likely to play in
NY and LA as well...

cheers---

Sinead is rumored to have bought a mansion outside of Atlanta.
Christian

I heard from a girl that ran into Sinead in Little 5 Points in Atlanta that
Sinead bought a house just outside of Atlanta near Chastain Park (very posh
neighborhood. In fact, that same guy who ran into Sinead at this bar in
Atlanta (when she sang that Elvis song for karaoke nite) ran into her again
at another bar. He said she was there with her producer playing air hockey.
Meanwhile, whenever I go to these bars I never run into her. Just my
luck.

I would like to point out a certain individual on this
list that is robbing people of their money. This
person has no right or purpose to do this for their
own
glutonous need for money. I'd like to point out just
one of these items that they are selling to people:

>From A Whisper To A Scream (Promo Radio Cd)--200$

now tell me?...is this hr long cd really worth 200$ I
think not. This person is ripping people off and it's
time someone pointed a finger at this person. That
person is going to be me

What this person does is unlawful, indecent and above
all wrong

What this person does is buys an item for such an
amount of money and resells it as a higher price, If
you've gotten anything from this person you've been
paying more than it was sold for!

Mars-L what your doing is wrong. You have no right to
jack up the price and call it a bargain because it's
not a bargain. Your doing this willfully and
knowingly and you call yourself an honest person?

You allow people to send you items for free and you
agree that you will send them something as a trade and
you never do...what does that say about you?

Think about what your doing, because one of these days
what you do is going to come your way...AND I
DEFINITELY HOPE THAT YOUR STUPID ENOUGH TO DO IT
YOURSELF.....

To all the people that have bought items from Mars-L.
WAKE UP! HE'S ROBBING YOU OF YOUR HARD EARNED, HONEST
MONEY!...Be smart....If you've bought something from
him.......YOUR AN IDIOT

If your going to buy something from someone here on
the list I recommend you buy from:

Bruno Autin
or Ken Fitzpatrick

These people are honest and generous in sharing what
they have with others. They are hard working, law
abiding citizens of the world. I highly recommend
both of them!

The black market consists of one person....and that
person is Mars-L...dno't be fooled by his kind words
and his so-called bargains!

Mars-L...I am sorry but I had to do this...and I don't
give a flying fuck what you think about me, I know
what your doing...so does everyone else

May all of you be wise on who to trust

Lion

===
God commanded his angels concerning you
To protect you in all your ways
They will carry you up in their arms
To keep your foot from striking a stone
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra
You will trample the great lion and serpent

Hello, LionCobra and others.

(skip this message, infact I wrote it because I needed to write it of of me,
I should know better I know.)

First to start about your complains, no one is forced to buy a cd from me !
It's everyone to decide for himself.

And if you wish an explanation;
The only item I really made profit on was indeed From A Whisper To A Scream
!
I also mentioned that when I sold it, and have always said that if someone
wanted to buy it from me he would have to pay big money (even mentioned it 2
years before selling it, check the old JITR's). I wasn't really thinking
about selling that item, because I had a complete collection and I was the
only one besides 2 others on this list who hat promo, so I knew how rare it
was. Selling that disc would break my collection, so I never would have sold
it. Till someone really made a big offer, and I could use the money very
well at that moment. In such a case $$$ is more important to me then a small
rounded piece of plastic.

The person who bought it from me, knew this and we talked about it and
discussed it all. He accepted it because he wanted the disc and I only
wanted to sell the disc for that amount, as simple as that it is. For me it
meant my Sinead collection wouldn't be complete anymore, for him probably
that his collection became complete.

But besides that; who are you to judge me on something you where not
involved in, and about an agreement between two adult persons. You probably
spoke to the buyer, but you didn't hear the full deal......

Besides, concerning the other items I'm selling;
Ever talked tom people who bought from me ???? Can't imagine. You just see
the announcements and wanted to make a statement or at least wanted to start
a flamewar. You could have mailed me in person or at least talk to other
buyers.

If you have a problem with my prices one example; ever had offers by anyone
to buy a bootleg fom $15, NO simply because it's the cheapest offer you ever
had. That shows howmuch profit I'm making. Sure I make profit, but less then
you think. Do you really think that I can buy Mandinka for $9.99 in a store
around the corner ???
No way, I also have to pay $35 for it not even talking about postage.
Sometimes I have to buy a package of 10 shitty discs just to get that one
cd. Who's buying the other 9 ??? For example anyone interested in 6 Famine
cds ????
Another example; Obiland offered a Japanese Am I Not Your Girl (the one with
the 3 bonus tracks) I bought it for their minimum of $50 through eBay. No
one else bidded, so I won.... They sended it to me by SUPER PRIORITY AIRMAIL
so within 2 days I had it in my postbox. I opened the receipt and guess
postage costs; $22
So in total the disc costed me $72 (need a scan of the bill ????). I sold it
for (correct me if I'm wrong) $80. Ever send a package registered ??? So get
your calculator and check the profit I make !!!

As said; I indeed make some profit on items but not as much as you think/say
(damn why do I always have to defend myself, why it's people's own choice
wether they buy from me or not, it's not the last drop of water or bread
that I'm selling, or a kidney for $5,000,000 which just happened this week
on eBay, things you need to keep alive)
Most funny thing is that it's always you and only you complaining.....
esspecially knowing that I just mailed someone that Famine isn't worth $29
(his minimum price for his eBay addition of that disc) and he wasn't happy
with my mail, makes me wonder why this coincidence Steven. The difference is
I keep the mail fair and personal without bashing.
For the people interested, the price I'm asking for items is mostly the
price I paid for the item plus postage costs I had to pay to receive it
added with about 10%.
And indeed the Whisper promo was the only one I really made big money on.
But ALL the people on JITR at that moment knew that because I said it in the
mail I offered it in. Besides that there are a few other items out of my own
collection that I made a little more profit on, simply because those were
out of my own collection, which is more "painfull" for me to sell then just
another item I bought at a record fair. My personal collection now is
missing all of the rarities, simply because I have other priorities then
owning a compact disc for which someone is offering $50 or more in some
cases. Even my much more holy collection of Prince cd's is missing it's
rarities (like a cd by Carmen Electra, Madhouse, The Family, Vanity 6,
Apollonia 6 etc etc.....)
And still; ask any person that bought one of those "expensive items" that
came out of my own collection, I always said them the price was too high,
but the only way I wanted to sell them for. And they all agreed and choose
to still buy it. (I won't give names, but I'm sure they'll let you know if
you want to, at least I hope they will)

I litterally asked them "are you sure you want to buy this item for that
price?? It's way to high and you will surely find it elsewhere someday for a
much lower price".

Sofar I never had one complain of anyone who bought anything from me. So why
the hell should I infact care about someone who don't want to buy at all,
was (still is) a junk-flamer, and probably himself tried to sell Famine for
$29 and feld hurt by someone saying $29 is too much.

AND YET AGAIN I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO REACT/REPLY.

Anyone; as I always said - if there's a problem with an item you bought from
me, simply mail me and we work it out till we're both satisfied. And please
don't start to complain in the JITR before you mailed me about the problem,
after that you can always still mail the JITR. I accept that from LionCobra
(he seems not to have any respect at all, and never heard about
Nettiquette's), but from you others I expect a little more tact.

well,
we are all entitled to our opinions, so here is mine: i disagree with you
lion.
i've bought things from Marcel in the past and have yet to be disappointed.

i recently purchased something from a member of this list and i am sure i
paid way too much for it. but that was my decision and i dont regret it.

thanks for your warning. but while your intentions seem to be the best, your
delivery is a bit harsh.

I never mentioned anything a bargain !!! Bargains are things of $1
Concerning the free things, if this really happened to anyone; Write me, I
really feel ashamed then and OFCOURSE I'll send something in trade.
(Sorry to say; but if it really happened why did you not tell me insteed of

This really frustrates me, I really don't remember such a thing happening,
so please mail me !

All in all; LionCobra CONGRATULATIONS you fucked up my day already at 11:00

Hello,

Since I got cable I'm trying to find things that are handy to use because of
the "always online" idea. For example ICQ is nice when you have a
phone-connection, but is great when you're online 24 hours a day. So I was
wondering wether other JITR-people also had ICQ. Would be nice to create a
list of people in case she'll be preforming somewhere, or for example if
she's at some moment on TV you could IMMEDIATLY tell the others through ICQ.
It's very simple to use and needs no administration at all to anyone.
The JITR is great for news, the homepage ditto (though not uptodate sorry,
started working on it (atleast changing my e-mail address everywhere on it
yesterday), and ICQ would be another addition.

Just an idea. Just let me know your thoughts/ICQ-number.

Hello all. Just to let you know IMHO Marcel is honest and has done more to make this list enjoyable then just about anybody. I have bought from him several times and if it wasn't for him my collection would be suffering greatly. I have never payed an unfair price for anything from him. As a matter of fact I would have paid more for a few things! He obviously works hard at what he does for this list an I am eternally grateful. In the words of eBay feedback:
I'd give him an A+++! Highly recommended! An asset to JITR. Trade with confidence!

Peace!
Jen

I just want to add my 2 cents about this message.
I bought this record for 200$ to Marcel, and really I don't regret it.
This record id so rare, I think it's expensive yes but it's really worth it
anyway. Marcel is free to ask the parice he want and everyone is ifree to
accept to pay this price.
Thank you Andrew to say that I'm honnest, I know it, but I really swear that
Marcel is as honnest as I am too.
I sent him the money cash and ghe sent me the CD.
That's all.

Hey All,

Here is the latest and the last for now!! Postage is paid by me! This
item is pretty rare or desired so I have decided that to enter you will
need to do three things in order to qualify!

1. Please send me you name!
2. Please send me your address!
3. Answer this question: What is the name of the street that was
Sinead's place of birth? Hint: It's contained on the one document that
would have this kind of info!

Because I have a major problem with guilt over picking a winner(I feel
bad when others lose), I will let another person from the list pick the
winner. If Ben wouldn't mind, I will forward all the names of the valid
winners to him and he can draw the name from a hat! If he doesn't then
I will do it but my guilt is often very high because so many people do
not win! Anyway, here is the item that you can win!

Format: CD single
Title: Three Babies
Artist: If you don't know that then you're definitely not going to
answer the question!
Catalog Number: ENYCD 635
Condition: Mint copy!! No flaws and plays perfectly!
Songs: 1. Three babies
              2. Damn your Eyes(Great Song!)
              3. Troy (The screaming swear word version!)
              4. The Value of Ignorance (A very nasty and great anger
song)

So there you go!! Happy hunting for the answer and please send your
entries by Friday September 10th at 6pm EST!! I will announce the
winner soon after that so send your entries asap!!

Luv,

Ken

Hi Lion and Jumpers,

sorry to say this - but Lion, YOU'RE wrong! I had several deals with Mars-L,
and I never had any problems with him! And, dear Lion, I don't think I am an
idiot! He is a fair guy, and the stuff he sends you is worth the money. And
he is a dedicated Sinead collector, without him, we would not have this
brilliant on-line discography and so on!
And yes - "From a Whisper to a scream" is a damn rare item, and I've seen it
for even higher prices than $ 200! Hey, nobody forces you to buy this from
Marcel, so be careful in what you're saying!

Shalom,
Daniel.

If you don't think it's worth $200, don't pay $200 for it. If other think
it is, it will sell. Otherwise it won't. That's how capitalism works.

> What this person does is unlawful, indecent and above
> all wrong

Whether it's indecent or wrong is a value judgement (I don't think it's
either one), but it's not unlawful. Buy low, sell high; it's how economics
does now and always has functioned.

If I pick up "From a Whisper to a Scream" for $0.50 at a garage sale and
sell it for $20, is it a bargain? But I increased the price by 4000%! The
amount of markup has nothing to do with its bargain-ness, and marking
up prices is certainly the biggest motivation Mars-L could have for
continuing to make these hard-to-find items available to us.

Let me phrase this differently: if he was getting no benefit from it, there
would be no reason for him to make these items available, and we would all
miss out on the oppurtunity. We may be able to find the same items less
expensively (though "From a Whisper to a Scream" would be difficult), but
we'd have to put in quite a bit of time. Like so many other ways we can
spend money, Mars-L is giving us a chance to use it to save ourselves time.

> Be smart....If you've bought something from
> him.......YOUR AN IDIOT

That would be "you're," not "your," and it's also a falsehood.

Well, looks like or friend lion has started a new flame war.

Nobody tells you to Lion to buy anything from mars-l
If you think his price is to high, well go to the nearest cd shop and buy
it there.
Maybe they tell you they don't have it, maybe you see it on a fair and if
you are lucky you see it on a for sale table for $5.
I'm always proud on my own collection of what I say almost everything from
Sinead but this promo cd I still do not have.
I'm collection Sinead for more then 10 years now, visit lots of record
fairs but I've never seen it.
Maybe because it's a very very very rare item, lots harder to find then a
jitr cd single.
I do not want to spend $200 because i simply cannot afford that and I think
that a lot of people on this list can not.
But the fact that that price is to high for you does not mean that mars-l
is not a law obeying citizen who do not work hard.
I know that guy personally and I can tell you (but of course you won't
believe me) that he work 40 hours a week with disabled people and also is
trying to raise 2 children and try to run a Sinead home page (I've never
seen a home page of an artist so complete than his), so please do not come
with that foolishness of law obeying people. As if he's breaking the law or
something.
There is freedom of speech, but offending people where there is non to
offend goes a bit to far. $200 is a lot of money which I'm not going to pay
for a cd, but if you happen to go to fairs you'll see that that is not such
a rare price for a rare item.

I once saw the first 12" introduction of Sinead and the sales person wanted
600 guilders ($300), so maybe you better check around what a item is worth
before you start with another of your famous flame wars.

Eduard

i have now long followed claudia's wise advice after lc began hurling
obscenities around awhile back --- whenever i see a posting by lc i hit
-delete- still, i was curious about this recent flurry and am lol with all
the long, detailed explanations and comments. why does marcel have to defend
himself from lc? why does anyone bother rationalizing an idiotic diatribe?
isn't there a saying about children - they are better seen than heard?

of more concern is his accusation that marcel is in some way dishonest and
fraudulent. publishing it to jitr members is libelous. lc is crossing a line
when his egregious use of his free speech rights harm the good and kind
people in jitr.

Listen up everyone....I know most of you don't know me but I hope you will
all just hear me out.

I absolutely adore Sinead!!!!When my friends think I may be lying all they
have to do is ask me to swear on Sinead. In fact I recently quit smoking
because I swore on Sinead that I would quit. What's my point? Only that we
all love Sinead... and even if we have nothing else in common at least we
have that.

EVERYONE have a good night and thanks for listening.

Sam

Hello,

I enjoy being on the list and I appreciate the nice contests and to
have Sinead material available. Wow, neat, Maybe Atlanta appealed to her?

Anyway, I played a lot of Sinead material for a drummer friend of mine this
weekend and he had never heard of Sinead (only of her-pope picture of
course)and thougth I was a freak to site her as a musical influence. But
after a few songs and a video, He was stunned at her clarity, phrasing and
tone of voice. He told me, he thought Sinead used her voice as an instrument
(literally). He was an instant fan and I was pleased to expose Sinead to
someone as she is very special to me as a musician. We agreed that not many,
if any, musicians will ever even approach (come close to) Sinead's
beautiful voice, her phrasing, tone, word intonation,etc... she really has a
special talent I have never heard in anyone else,EVER. I could go on, but no
need to on this list (all good fans of Sinead's). my .02 cents. Have a nice
labor day monday, all.

first of all, i just like to say that it's deeply heartening to see so
many people standing up for marcel:))) (marcel, hope this would make
your day.)

i hereby vouch for the absolute honesty and reliability of marcel
bobbink. from my personal dealings with him, he's proven to be
completely open, upfront and helpful. there is nothing surreptitious or
clandestine.

if anyone isn't happy with the cost of the CD(s), just don't go into
the deal. it's as simple as that. don't cry or holler after the fact.
any dissatisfaction should be raised with the buyer in private, and if
the reasons given aren't sound, then raise the issue in the public --
but in a coherent, calm and considered manner.

just my 2 cents.

kai chai.

Hi Marcel and JITR,

I think an ICQ list would be great!!! It really is a great way to
communicate and trade files (like Sinead mp3's and pics) over the Internet.
My ICQ number is #23866049 if anyone wants to contact me. Great idea
Marcel!!!

Your probably all mad at me for my last msg but..the
funny thing is........i don't even care

I would just like to say that when people bid on eBay
they are looking to find Sinead items at a low price,
not at a high price...like Mars-L...

One example of this:

Mandinka Limited 4 Track CD Single--sold I eBay for
about 28.00

Mars-L won that cd and is now offering it to people on
the list for: 40$...12$ more than what he paid for it

I am not trying to be rude here, just trying to point
out what he is doing...and I don't like it. I hope
you all see that

Lion

===
God commanded his angels concerning you
To protect you in all your ways
They will carry you up in their arms
To keep your foot from striking a stone
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra
You will trample the great lion and serpent

Just to share my experience of dealing with Mars-L, when I first
got on the list, he advertised a Gospel Oak CD with promo a
promo sticker/postcard. I already had GO, but I'd screwed up
the promo sticker that my divine ex-boyfriend had given me. I
wrote Mars-L to make sure that this was the same sticker card
I'd messed up and said that if it was, I'd buy the GO CD just to
get the sticker. Besides being a neato little item, it carried
certain emotional significance since my former honey had given
it to me. Well, Mars-L in all his greediness (sarcasm used
here) wrote back that there was no need for me to buy the CD,
he'd just mail me the sticker AT NO COST! I mean, hey, I'd
offered to buy the whole thing, which I think was at a very
reasonable price of less than ten dollars or something, but he
didn't want any money. I even offered to send him anything he
could think of in return since I had nothing to trade. He asked
for nothing.

Mars-L's gift of the sticker was the first act of generosity I
was witness to, and I'm happy to say it's not been the last. At
that time I'd been on the list for just a month or two, and he
really made me feel welcome with that kind act.

Hey Mars-L! Thanks for everything!
Jesseca

Hey Jumpers,

I was in Boston shopping today and I came across a few things that I
found interesting!! I found the gold promo video that has the three
Sinead video's for $15.99! Kinda high so I did not buy it but if anyone
is interested I'll pick it up for you!

Also I picked up a four song promo for the new James album!! It does
not contain the Mother B. track but I love James so I just thought I'd
mention it! Also the new single is out called "I know what I'm here
for"!! Also no Mother B. content but I only got CD 2 so there must be a
CD 1 and it may contain a B-side that has Mother B. on there! The James
cd listed some concert dates in England for December 99 so if anyone in
England is interested just email me for details! Mother B. may show up
but it is probably a long shot!

I need some info on the last item!! I bought this copy of the Avengers
soundtrack that looks like it is a promo from Atlantic but at closer
inspection it states that it is unmastered!! Their are some
differences(not major ones) but i am just interested as to what this is
or why it was made!! There is no booklet! The back is all white with
the songs numbered 1-14 however #9 is missing - that's the Utah Saints
song. Ashtar Command is mispelled Commanc and song #13 that is Roni
Size doing Visiting Angels is different on the unmastered version! #13
on the unmastered is Roni Size with Skin doing Orange Peel! Does
anybody have any clue what this is? If you do please email me! I just
want to know why they would produce this and why isn't it the usual
promo of the CD where everythng is the same!

Hope everyone is doing well and get your entries in! I'll post the
contest details again sometime in the middle of the week in case you
missed it the first time around!

All the Best,

Ken

Hello fellow Sinead fans!
I joined JITR a while ago, but I never had the chance to formally
introduce myself! My name is Meggan and I'm from Michigan (Metro Detroit
Area). I would love to hear from fellow fans in Michigan (or anywhere else
for that matter)! I'm a full time college student going for a Liberal Arts
degree, but I also want to be a ROCK STAR...go figure! I'm also trying to
find my ass a job!!!! :)
I adore Sinead just like the rest of you so this is very cool. I was so
grateful to find this place! I look forward to checking my e-mail everyday
because of the simple fact that most of it is Sinead related! I also listen
to Tori and The Doors, but for the most part...just Sinead! If I had to
choose one favorite Sinead song that would be tough, but I think it would be
"Value of Ignorance". I love it! Well hell, I love everything Sinead does
pretty much!
Now that I've rambled on, my whole point of this letter was to introduce
myself and I've done that and then some! Thanks for taking the time to read
this! Hope to hear from whoever soon!!
-Meggan Megganaz@aol.com

P.S - As for that whole Mars-L and Lion thing: I have done business with
Marcel on many different ocassions, and he is an honest man! I've always
been very satisfied when I do business with him. I highly recommend him!
Thanks!

Me too. The possibility to buying things from Marcel, Eduard and Bruno
has been very important to me, because many of the Sinead's CDs
are impossible to get in Finland. At least the earlier stuff.

And I think it is GREAT that someone is willing to spend his or her
time to give the others the possibility to enjoy Sinead.
I mean WWW-pages, info, liveCD projects etc.

I think Marcel (as well as many others in JITR) is doing a great job.
And I will give all my support to him, and the others.

Not even once has a JITR member let me down. And that is great, isn't it?
But these flames are eating the good spirit among us....
...it's not only Marcel, who's day got fucked up because of this. :-(

Dear jumpers

unfortunately money governs our world... Sure, everyone knows it.

I just hope that this list will not become in just a "business" list.
I think it is ok to share Sinead stuff with other guys who do not own such
things. That is fair and lovely, but I prefer those days when at JITR we
were analizing (sp?) Sinead lyrics or her artistic ways. We are loosing
things...

maybe we must try to recuperate something

Howdy,

>One example of this:
>Mandinka Limited 4 Track CD Single--sold I eBay for
>about 28.00
>Mars-L won that cd and is now offering it to people on
>the list for: 40$...12$ more than what he paid for it

Hey he can calculate
THAT'S STEP 1

Now go to STEP 2;
http://ircalc.usps.gov/

and find out postage rates from the USA to The Netherlands for a small
package !
$5 !
Add $0.50 for a good enveloppe and you'll see I'll indeed make profit; $6,5
on this one.
Wanna know about all the others that I bought a year ago and are still lying
here around ???
Who pays them ? I know "I shouldn't have bought them then, my risc" You're
fully right.
That's the game I play, and the choice the buyers make. They pay some extra
so I can buy some new and take the risc to not sell it. (Anyone interested
in a "The Best Of MTV 120 Minutes"??)

And besides that you're fully right I want to earn something on this.

Everyone is free to decide for himself wether he buys or not. Or joins eBay
him/herself.
And sometimes he she meets me on eBay, sometimes I win sometimes he/she
wins....
Ask Enzo..... (we bidded both on a Russian boot, he won I lost. Ask Ossi
(he's probably waiting for a new bid by me, no Ossi you beat me ;-(( )
That's the way things go.

A couple of Sundays ago the Sunday morning news show on NPR (National
Public Radio) had an interview with a couple of blokes from the Afro
Celt Sound
Syntem and they talked about Sinead. At the time I looked forward to
reading
peoples thoughts about it on jitr and now I've finally realized there
were no
posts - jitr members probably have their stereos playing music instead
of
news!

Anyway, here is what I remember: They were asked what it was like to
work
with Sinead (I'm glad that Sinead has this kind treatment - I mean here
these
guys were being interviewed about their work and the interviewer is more

interested in Sinead). They said that they were very moved by the
experience.
Apparently a member of Afro Celt died some months ago and the rest of
the group had not figured out exactly how to continue without him
and there had been some squabbling withing the group over artistic
things
and maybe other things. Apparently there was no way Sinead could have
known this. She showed up and was very shy and hardly said anything
besides
hello. She say quietly in a corner composing lyrics and when they were
finally
ready to have her record they were all amazed at what she sang. And her
voice of course!

They played the song - it was the first time I had heard it - and for
those who
don't know one of the lines is .."Do not argue amongst yourselves".

The Afro Celt fellows said that they were stunned and that they felt
that their
passed-away companion was speaking to them throught Sinead. I might
be interjecting my own interpretations into what I remember but I think
they
said that they think of her as a some type of Shamen but I don't think
anybody mentioned her new title.

Rick

Hi,

This is a message to all the new members who have
recently joined the list

I am looking for The Lion and the Cobra music book.
This book was printed and sold only in the UK back in
1989, the book was never sold in the U.S.

If anyone has seen this book or knows who published it
or may even have a copy of it, PLEASE email me. I
really want this book!

If you have any information please contact me

Thank you

Lion
