Hello everybody!

I rarely write but I thought this would be a good occasion to do so..
My best friend was recently in Portugal and she said that she was at a
restaurant
and saw a young woman who looked a lot like Sinead. She described her as
having a shaved head but with hair a little bit longer than a five o' clock
shadow. She also said that she was about 5'3'' or so and she was wearing a
long skirt. I know.. could've been anyone, BUT she said she was with a tall
guy with dark hair and she asked me what her boyfriend looked like.. I said
he was a journalist for The Mirror.. so if anyone could tell me what her
boyfriend looks like I'll relay the message and she'll tell me if that was
what this guy looked like...Any one have any information on where Ms.Sinead
might be lately? Maybe anywhere around Portugal?:)

Okay jittery jumpers
Hasta la pasta,
Isabel

Celebrity City

Who? Sinéad O'Connor

What does she do? You mean you haven't heard of Sinéad O'Connor, the pop
singer?

Appearance: Bald when a new-born baby. Bald when an emergent pop star.
Later, a pop star with a crew cut. These days sports a more feminine style.

Appeared: From nowhere, seemingly. Her debut album The Lion and the Cobra
(1987) was released when she was 21.

Followed the début with: A massive No. 1 hit internationally, Nothing
Compares 2 U, penned by Prince (in the "Formerly" days).

But: Her excellent music has, over the years, drawn considerably less
attention than her, ahem, turbulent private life.

How come? O'Connor, an arch self-publicist, was once described as the only
woman alive who could generate massive publicity without having to take her
clothes off.

Why the publicity? O'Connor has had troubled times and has no compunction in
telling the world of her traumas.

Traumas you say? Spiritual, psychological, relationship-centred, etc. The
whole gamut actually. She's said, however, to be more at ease with herself
since she took up Buddhism.

The music? Latterly O'Connor has produced marvellously lucid, spiritual
stuff. Her most recent offering, Gospel Oak, a four-track EP from 1997,
revealed a calmer self.

>From This is to Mother You, a song on the EP: "All the pain that you have
known, all the violence in your soul, all the 'wrong' things you have done,
I will take them from you when I come"

Powerful, eh? Try I Do Not Want I Haven't Got (1990) or Universal Mother
1995.

Famous for: Much more than being merely famous. How dull that would be.

Infamous for: The full list would take too long to compile. It includes
tearing up a picture of the Pope on TV in the US and demanding, with
success, a private audience with the then Taoiseach Albert Reynolds to air
her views on abortion.

Unlikely: To be forgotten by anyone who's heard the music or saw her play a
foul-mouthed Virgin Mary in Neil Jordan's film adaptation of Patrick
McCabe's novel The Butcher Boy.

Hi There!!!!

I THINK I found the answer to your question.

I have listened to that part of the song, about 100 times, and I am sure =
that it is my Country's ex-President, Mr. Nelson Mandela.

I make a correction though, yesterday I said that it sounds like him in =
his younger days, before he went to prison. But the CD's date is 1997, =
and by then he was already out of prison for 8 years, and he was the =
president already.

So my guess is that it was a recording of his speech when he came out of =
prison. Because I can hear the crowd noises in the back ground (if you =
turn it up really loud) - Unless it is just a bad recording..........

Here is what he says (from what I can make out).

"I greet you all...in the name of PEACE".

I will go to the library, to see if I can find any copy of that famous =
speech, or any other speeches. And I will look for the above words.

You have made me very inquisitive now, and I HAVE to know.

Hope this helps for now.....

Lizelle

Hello,

Here is some further news on the Whole Sinead featuring on James latest
album thing...

-Suzy

There is a superb article/interview in this month's Q magazine. It tells
the story of the last twelve months and recording in the studio with Brian
Eno. It's quite long so it's on my website (that'll make you visit it!!),
but I'll summarise the main points of the interview below:

Unlike previous albums, Millionaires may have up to SIX singles on it.

Sinead O' Connor features on Vervacious and I Defeat, which narrowly missed
the cut for the album.

Greetings! I am looking to obtain the video for the song she performed on
the "Red Hot and Blue CD. I believe that in the video she is wearing a
blonde wig.

I am also looking for a compilation of all the Sinead videos that are lurking
around out there. Has she released a video compilation since "Year of the
Horse?"

Please reply to these questions by e-mailing me directly. Thank you for any
help, it's appreciated.

hello jitterbugs -

a friend just informed me that there is an article on Sinead in the august
1999 issue of US magazine. its titled "the church lady". she said the
article is less than flattering. she read some of it to me but hung up
before she could read the rest. i tried their website but couldnt get to the
article. my friend said they had a nice picture of her being ordained.
she's dropping it off here first thing in the morning.

i believe they referred to her as a hellraiser. which i found rather
amusing.

okay, thats all,
have a good weekend everyone!
p.s. Luther - its going out tomorrow!!! woo hoo!!!

(title) THE CHURCH LADY

After 6 years out of the public eye, hell-raiser Sinead O'Connor is making
news again with an ugly custody fight, a drug overdose and a shocking new
vocation.

Sinead O'Connor has always had a flair for the dramatic. Since the
working-class Dublin girl shot to fame with 1990's #1 hit "nothing compares
2you" she has been as well-known for her histrionics as for her shaved scalp.
She fought with Frank Sinatra over her refusal to play the american national
anthem at one of her concerts. She backed out of an appearance on Saturday
Night Live because she refused to share the stage with comedian Andrew Dice
Clay. She became, as designer Mr blackwell dubbed her, "the bald-headed
banshee of mtv." By the time she tore up a picture of the pope on SNL in
October 1992, she had tarred herself as an enfant terrible- and all but
torched her career.

Now, after six-plus years of relative obscurity, O'Connor, 32, has charged
back into the spotlight with a new set of problems and with pronouncements
that have some people questioning her sanity and others wondering whether
it's all a calculated effort to revive her career.

Her re-emergance began in January with a very ugly custody battle with her
former boyfriend, Irish journalist john waters, 44, over their daughter,
Roisin. After one particularly intense hearing in Dublin, she spat in waters'
face. That night, she downed 20 valiums and three shots of vodka in a hotel
room and passed out for 36 hours. A few weeks later, she certified her
reputation as a holy terror. On april 22, after years of railing against the
catholic church, she was ordained a preist in a breakaway sect, the latin
trinadine church. Lately, O'Connor, who was rechristened Mother Bernadette
Mary, has taken to wearing her vestments in public around london, where she
lives with her 12 year old son, Jake. "I deliberately get dressed up for
G-d", she told the london observer in may. "I'm going to put on my earrings
and my proper make-up. I'm going to be a sexy motherfucking preistess. If
anybody doesnt like it, they can fuck off."

Such quotes have prompted the british press to refer to O'Connor as "a few
wafers short of a mass." Those who know her put it more compassionately. "I
think she is in the throes of a protracted breakdown." says a friend of 10
years. "She's been through therapy and all kinds of things, but there's
something permanently wrong and celebrity only exacerbates the situation."

Twelve years ago, O'Connor seemed destined to become one of the most
signifigant artists of th '90's. At 20, she released THE LION AND THE COBRA,
in 1987 (the same year she and drummer John Reynolds had Jake). The album
went gold, but it was her follow-up, 1990's I DO NOT WANT WHAT I HAVENT GOT,
that solidified her stardom. The album went double platinum and its single,
"Nothing Compares 2 You" hit #1. She was named Rolling Stone's artist of the
year, won three mtv music awards and was nominated for four grammys.

But as quickly as she found success, O'Connor, then 23, began alienating her
fans. At an August 1990 concert at New Jersey's garden state arts center, she
balked at the playing of the national anthem, a move that so appalled frank
sinatra that he said she needed a "kick in the ass" SIx months later she
boycotted the grammy awards, saying, "i dont want to be part of a world that
measures artistic ability by material success." She wasnt a part of it for
very long. AM I NOT YOUR GIRL?, 1992's collection of cabaret standards, sold
a relatively modest 312,000 copies.

O'Connor's october 3, 1992 appearance as the musical guest on snl was, for
many, the last straw. After singing an a cappella version of bob marley's
"war", a song about racism and child abuse, she tore up a photo of pope john
paul II and shouted "fight the real enemy." By monday morning, nbc had
recieved almost 1,500 angry calls. Soon djs were smashing her records on the
air. Former fans drove steamrollers over her cds. At a bob dylan tribute at
madison square garden a few weeks later she was booed so resoundingly that
she left the stage in tears.

O'Connor's two subsequent releases, 1994's UNIVERSAL MOTHER and 1997's ep
GOSPEL OAK were outright failures, and as her career took a downward spiral
she focused on her own private dramas. In late 1992, she published a letter
in the irish times detailing abuses she claims she had suffered at the hands
of her mother, marie, (who died in a car accident in 1985). In the summer of
1993, while on tour with peter gabriel, O'Connor washed down 26 sleeping
pills with vodka in an LA hotel room because, as she told a reprter for
london's observer last year, "I just couldnt accept that [gabriel] didnt want
to go out with me." In august 1994 she checked into a london rehab center to
kick a longtime marijuana habit. Then in 1995, she dated waters briefly and
quickly became pregnant with Roisin. The couples custody battle bean early
this year when, waters says, he discovered that Roisin, then almost 3 years
old, was still wearing diapers. He called a social services agency claiming
O'Connor was an unfit mother. Immediately after a march 20 custody hearing,
O'Connor errupted at waters, sreaming "say i'm a good mother! say i'm a good
mother!" when he didnt respond, she spat at him. That night, she took the
vodka-and-valium combination.

In the midst of this custody battle, which is still being resolved, (Roisin
is currently living with waters) O'Connor made her decision to enter the
clergy. During an appearance on an irish talk show last december she had
mentioned that she wanted to be a priest. Bishop michael cox saw the show and
contacted her to say that his mater dei order of the latin trinadine church
(which is not recognized by the vatican) allows female priests. So on april
22, cox ordained O'Connor in an incense-filled fourth floor suite at the
grand hotel de la grotte in Lourdes france. Cox, who claims to be an
exorcist. says of the ceremony "i gave Sinead the power of healing". O'Connor
is now qualified to officiate at masses, baptisms, marriages and funerals and
to hear confession. She told london's daily telegraph she also "has special
holy orders to work with the dying and those who are labeled insane, like
myself."

But some of O'COnnor's new colleagues think she is less insane than cunning.
Pat Buckley, a latin trinadine bishop says "i told her if she wanted proper
training i would train her. she told me to piss off. i like Sinead, but lets
face it, i think she likes the publicity, and it sells records."

In fact, O'Connor is slated to release her sixth album this year. The as yet
untitled record is the first of a four album deal she signed with atlantic
records last summer. ross fitzimmons, who manages O'Connor's producer, Donald
Luny, doesnt think that music fans will mind the flap over her new calling.
"She puts an awful lot into her records," he says. "if this next one is good,
it will sell, regardless of what she does."

by michael kaplan.

its late and i know i made a bunch of mistakes, but i have to be up early
tomorrow and wanted to send this. i plan to write to the editor (what the
hell). if you want to, go to the magazine's website at
Http://www.USmagazine.com and click on the "e-mail us" option.

Dear Editors,

I read your article on Sinead O'Connor in the hopes that just once a magazine
would do a fair profile on this honest and inspiring woman. Instead I read
what i usually read. A recap of all the things she's done to piss people off.
And, granted, she has quite a resume in that field. But what Michael Kaplan
forgot to mention was that Sinead O'Connor has actually done some incredibly
GOOD things.
She has been a major figure in the war on child abuse. She has been
involved in numerous musical projects to raise money and show support for
victims of war and racism. In his article he was quick to mention the
allegations by her former boyfriend of negligence but didnt see fit to
include the response by the social services agency the boyfriend contacted.
They said THEY SAW NOTHING WRONG. They visited the house twice at his
insistance, both times unannounced. And each time they said they found a
happy, healthy child, who was obviously well cared for.
To further point out his inaccurate reporting, the child is not as he claims,
"living with Waters." The child is with her mother, where she belongs. He
also failed to mention that John Waters showed no interest in supporting his
child during the first months of her life, and that he devotes a large
portion of his reporting to the rights of unmarried fathers. And you say
Sinead is the one trying to boost her career using negative publicity??
Sinead O'Connor is the last person who would sell out to to sell records.
Kaplan himself pointed out how her career suffered commercially because of
her honesty. And she stayed honest. I wish you would have spent more time
talking about Sinead O'Connor's music, her magnificent voice, her beautiful
lyrics.

Sh**ting all over Sinead O'Connor is, like, the longest running trend in the
history of the media. And I, for one, am sick of it.

I agree with your letter to the editor....they always
put wrong facts in about her. Whenever she's on the
news, they always show the pope tearing, and they
don't even mention anything nice about her at
all....and on vh1, they did the same thing when she
was labeled as a one hit one wonder they talked about
the pope thing.....and in fact she's no one hit
wonder wasn't Mandinka a top 20 hit when it came
out?......

Do any of you have family members who don't like her?
I do...all of them don't like her....my dad always
calls her "Sinéa" without a d he knows her name has a
d he does it to irritate me...and he always refers to
her as the "bald bitch"....he helped me with a song of
hers once on guitar and he told his friends "yeah i
learned a new song by Sinéad O'Connor" and his friend
says "who?" and he says "oh I don't know some bald
bitch"...and my stepmom....who I tried to get to
listen to "I Do Not Want..." which was
unsuccessful.....she went into the bathroom when i
started to play it...and I said "I'm going to replay
them" and she goes "no that's ok" and I said "well you
don't want to listen do you?....forget it".....she was
always nice about sinead...saying she didn't like her
because she was too political...not because she was
bald.....on the radio we were switching stations...and
I said "I don't like any of these singers".....and she
said "well at least they have hair"......and one of my
nieces whenever I show her picture...she says "eww
bald" and my sister says "sinead doesn't sing....she
just yells"

That is what I put up with all the time...and the
press doesn't help any of it by doing bad
reporting...

Plus...what do critics know? ....have they ever made a
record...do they know how long it takes? I know she
puts a lot into her records too...only to have some
flat slob couch potato who sits on his/her ass all
day and says "o'connor's latest release is a
flop"...really...do they really think their words
garner respect??????? what do they
know?--nothing...it's always "bash at sinead o'connor"
whenever she does something they don't feel is
right....and i'm sick of it too.....

and to all the media: FUCK OFF!--your the ones who
need to get a REAL job you must be bored sitting at
home...thinking of ways "how can i wreck sinead this
time?"...no really i bet that's what they do...and if
they do.......they are some sad excuses for human
beings.

To protect you in all your ways
They will carry you up in their arms
To keep your foot from striking a stone

There's a lot contained in this message but it is SO true!!! Especially the
family comments!!
I think we have all had this happen to us at one point or another!! It
comes along with being a fan of one of the most misunderstood artists of our
time!

For those that are interested, here is an update on "Battlestar Galactica:
The Second Coming". This is the film that I produced with Richard Hatch
that reunites members of the original television series cast twenty years
later in an epic adventure amongst the stars. We have put together a
promotional trailer for the film and it will be having its worldwide
premiere at the Atlanta Dragon Con this Saturday, July 3rd. If you are
going, we hope to see you there!

Hello,

Since a few months I don't have much time left to spend on Internet,
besides that there where other priorities. But I'm gonna try again.
BTW; Went to a concert of Lenny Kravitz 2 days ago and he was great.
He's on
his best at the moment, very compareable with Prince around 1987, but infact
that doesn't really interest you.
Concerning the homepage, I know it very outdated, I will TRY to update
it in
the coming weeks. All I can promise is that the discography will surely
updated, if there's time left I will spend that on the newspages.

Concerning the releases; what's new ???
Latest things I bought were;
Lillith Fair (Vol 2)
Afro Celt System
Zucchero
(and ofcourse chieftains/Chiquitita etc.....)

Is the Zucchero album with Sineads track also released already in the UK ???
(Mandy ??)
What's coming up or what did I miss ?

In the meantime I visited some recordfairs, bought items online and from
friends. I know most people here already have everything what they want but
just incase someone's interested here's a list with their prices;

-----
The Avengers OST (song; Summers end) - complete promo album $7
The Edge - Captive (song; Heroine) - Album $9

I want Your Hands On Me (CUT SLEEVE, mail me for details) - $25
My Special Child (Canadian Release, thick jewelcase) - $15
My Special Child (UK release, thin jewelcase) - $15
Mandinka - $30
Silent Night - $25
Don't Cry For Me Argentina (UK, WITH AVE MARIA) - $20
The emperors New Clothes PROMO (edit + album version) - $12
The Emperors New Clothes (Incl. What Do You Want) - $15
Famine - $10
Succes Has Made A Failure - 2 cd case, disc 1 included, paper disc 2 - $12

This way I reach everyone incl. these people.

Hi all,

I was changing channels and saw a little add that tonight on German TV (zfd
/ germany 2) they will re-send a program with some sinead item.
It's tonight (sunday on monday) at 4.30 in the morning.
The program is called Mona Lisa. It's a womans program and this part is
called excentisch as live-motto. I think they will use sinead as some sort
of role-modell.
Ofcourse I have my vcr ready tonight. I shall tewll you more tomorrow.
But i thought it might be intrested as well for those who get this channel
(Daniel? / Roman?/ Marcel?).

First of all, the trailor for the movie "Stigmata" stated that the
soundtrack features Sinead O'Connor. Secondly,=20

SECTION: LIFE; Pg. 12E=20

LENGTH: 907 words=20

HEADLINE: No pop-star pretensions for Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde=20

BYLINE: Elysa Gardner; Special for USA TODAY=20

DATELINE: NEW YORK=20

BODY:=20
=A0=A0=A0NEW YORK -- Chrissie Hynde's influence on women in rock is vastly=
=20
overrated -- just ask her.=20

Never mind that such post-feminist icons as Sinead O'Connor, Courtney=20
Love and Garbage's Shirley Manson have cited The Pretenders' lead=20
singer and rhythm guitarist as a major inspiration. "Sinead said=20
to me the other day, 'I never told you this before, but you saved=20
my life,' " Hynde recalls while relaxing in her Manhattan hotel=20
room. "She said, 'I was sitting in Ireland and I saw you, and=20
I knew I didn't just have to stay there and have children. You're=20
like a mother to me.' I was like, 'Easy, Sinead!' "=20

Hynde laughs and shrugs. "Obviously, I'm flattered. But you know,=20
if I had never existed, there would still be a Sinead O'Connor,=20
a Shirley Manson and a Courtney Love. I don't think anything was=20
gonna stop those three b - - - - - s."=20

Nineteen years after The Pretenders' self-titled debut album introduced=20
their taut, driving, guitar-based sound, Hynde, 47, is still among=20
the most casually self-effacing, fearlessly blunt rock stars on=20
the planet. Asked to describe her group's new CD, Viva El Amor,=20
which arrived in stores last week, she says, "It's just more=20
of the same, really -- a pop-rock album." Hynde dismisses the=20
notion that she's mocking any of her successors on the opening=20
track, Pop Star, on which she sings, Your girlfriend=20
wants to be a pop star/They don't make 'em like they used to/You=20
should have stuck with me. "It's a very lightweight song,"=20
she says. " 'They don't make 'em like they used to' is such a=20
corny lyric that I couldn't resist it."=20

Actually, Hynde will be actively supporting the next generation=20
of female pop stars this summer, when The Pretenders take part=20
in the third and final Lilith Fair concert tour. In the past,=20
the singer has been characteristically candid about what she perceives=20
as the general differences between he- and she-rockers -- arguing,=20
for instance, that guys are better guitar players. "It's a fact,"=20
she maintains. "People say, 'Well, women (aren't) encouraged=20
to play guitar.' I say, well, Jimi Hendrix probably wasn't encouraged=20
to play -- that didn't stop him!"=20

Still, when asked to join Sarah McLachlan's celebrated estrogen-fest,=20
Hynde was happy to oblige. "I look at (Lilith) as kind of a gimmick,"=20
she says. "But we want gimmicks in show business. I love the=20
idea of this girl thing, because it's different and it's funny.=20
And working with five or six other bands makes (touring) more=20
fun. That's the only reason I'm doing this, really -- to have=20
a good time. I'm just selfish, I guess."=20

Hynde's self-styled hedonism has helped to sustain The Pretenders=20
through the decades. "I like playing guitar in a rock band,"=20
says Hynde. "I think of this very much as a hobby. I've got other=20
interests in my life."=20

Chief among those interests are her husband of three years, Colombian=20
sculptor Lucho Brieva, and her two daughters, ages 15 and 12 (Hynde=20
won't give out their names) -- whose fathers are, respectively,=20
Kinks frontman Ray Davies and Simple Minds leader Jim Kerr, Hynde's=20
first spouse. A fiercely protective mom, Hynde admits she was=20
reluctant to go out on the road when her children were younger.=20

"The biggest problem one faces as a working mother is being able=20
to give work your full attention," Hynde muses. "You're agonizing=20
the whole time because the baby was crying that morning. I think=20
women really suffer from this -- that's why I enjoy working with=20
men. Men are much more simple-minded; they come to a rehearsal,=20
they plug in, and they're focused and excited."=20

Granted, The Pretenders' otherwise all-male lineup -- which currently=20
consists of guitarist Adam Seymour, bassist Andy Hobson and drummer=20
Martin Chambers -- has had its share of problems. Original members=20
James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon both died of drug overdoses=20
in the early '80s; Hynde cites these tragedies as another key=20
factor in the group's longevity.=20

"Jimmy was one of the world's great guitar players, and I think=20
he would have been saddened if the music had died with him,"=20
she says. "I never thought that what The Pretenders did was groundbreaking,=
=20
but we did have a distinctive sound. And I felt I had to try to=20
keep that alive, in honor of Jimmy and what we had achieved."=20

For Joe Levy, music editor of Rolling Stone, "What Chrissie=20
Hynde does is write classic pop songs. She was doing it during=20
the punk-rock days, and she's doing it now. There are bands like=20
Aerosmith who have shown that they can connect with young and=20
old audiences by sticking to their guns. The Pretenders should=20
be that kind of band -- they should be able to renew their audience."=20

Hynde notes, with some amusement, that many rock groups from her=20
era who couldn't stick to their guns for long have reunited in=20
recent years. "It'll be, like, a band was together for five years=20
and now they're offered millions to re-form. Meanwhile, suckers=20
like me, who have crawled out of the wreckage and risen from the=20
ashes on many occasions while struggling to keep something alive=20
-- I'm playing these dinky little clubs! All I had to do was disappear=20
for 15 years, and I could be doing stadiums!=20

"But you know, I never really wanted to play stadiums anyway.=20
I think I have just the right amount of fame -- I could even do=20
with a little less. I'm just a humble servant of rock."=20

IHERE'S a close shave for Sinead O'Connor.

The 32-year-old singer, who now calls herself Mother Bernadette Maria of
the Order of Mater Dei after being ordained by a rebel bishop, stepped out
yesterday sporting a sharp new look.

It's been a tempestuous few months for Ireland's most famous motormouth.

For a while, Sinead ditched her baldie look for a longer, more sedate
feminine style.

But now the rock firebrand is back to her trademark skinhead image - and
beware anyone who messes with her.

Last night Sinead was in a German TV program called Mona Lisa.
It was basically about her priesthood.
She was not in the program herself although it looked by interview segments
that she was. I think this German show took pieces from a UK program. Anyway...
The item was about 7 minutes long. It started with some parts from the nc2u
video in which the also showed some photo's from Sinead.
Then a picture from her house and very short her life story with abusive
mother etc.

At the background Sinead was singing an song I've never heard (!).
I think it was some sort of biblical chant as I could not understand one
word of it and it was fully a cappella. Before you all ask me, this part
was repeated several times but every time it was only 10 or 20 seconds
while somebody was talking thorough it. Not very interesting this way.
What was interesting were the interview segments with Sinead in priest
clothing, with the priest who actually made her priest, with the Bishop who
told that Sinead send her some fax and called him Dracul and signed with
vampire. Also a short interview with her brother. (I'd never seen him
before). Some shots of Lourdes and some people on the Lourdes streets.
One very important thing was that Sinead said that this (being priest) and
her musically career were her most important things and that this (priest)
did NOT mean she was quitting music industry (Pffff to mine and I think all
our relief).

That's basically it.
And of course, all interview parts were dubbed over in the good old German
style with a German voice over. You can hear Sinead talk softly on the back.

I was thinking, ain't it possible Daniel that you (since you are a radio
man now) contact the ZDF to ask what music they used for this Mona Lisa
program and if you can use it as well for your own church program (and then
spread it amongst us of course)....

Hi all,

Thanks to Ken who bought it for me in Ireland.
I got a video (officially released) called:
The Late Late show, celebration of Irish music
(catalogue number RTE vc53)

This video contains highlight from a christmas eve 1993 program from the late
late show.
One of those highlights is sinead singing a full accapella version of danny
boy.
This video is officially released and therefore (I think) this full a cappella
version is a offically released song by her.
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! Another 'new' song discovered 7 years after release.

Ken, I'm very much thankfull.....

Hello,

I was watching Dearest Sinead on a video of her appearance on
"sessions at 54th" on PBS. I'm not sure when it was recorded, but it
couldn't have been too long ago. has anyone else seen it? What I wanted to
know, is that her regular band she was playing with? Is this her current
band lineup? (looked like she needed another guitar player (haha)). She
really is something else, I really thought she was very very good live.

Hello,

After reading my post, I should clarify that when I said "looks like
she needs another guitarist" I meant an additional guitarist, the guitarist
playing with her was good. I was just implying that I would have loved to
play in that band, but it came off sounding as if I didn't like the existing
guitar player. I need to be more careful of the way I put things.

Wow!!! This sounds very cool!
I've always thought that Sinead's I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got songs
suits Michael Stipe very much. We know that he once did The Last Day Of Our
Acquaintance, and now he's done Black Boys On Mopeds.
I hope his interest in Sinead songs end up in a b-side and we all can
cherish this wonderful man's interpretation.
Anyway, I'll do my best to get this live version.
Love and light,
DENIZ

Hi...I was staying at my nieces for awhile...I just
got back....that's why any of you haven't seen any
messages from me. Well...we first started to watch
Friday the 13th part V111 or whatever (there are so
many I can't remember) but anyways...we watched
that...and earlier..she said we would watch "Nightmare
On Elm Street 4: The Dreamaster".....so we start
watching it you know.....a few people die...and then
there's a scene in the movie..where one of the
survivor's friend's is getting ready to work
out....she puts in a cd and pushes play....."I Want
Your (Hands On Me)" drumbeat starts playing...I
laughed my ass off....not that I was laughing because
it was dumb...but because...I couldn't believe
it.....so it starts playing....and the usual
chorus...blah blah...and I hear rap....I have a
recording of the dance mix...so I think it's the
Street Mix w/mc lyte

DOES ANYONE KNOW THAT SHE IS FEATURED ON THE
SOUNDTRACK? DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS SOUNDTRACK?

P.S. The movie was made in 1990...(the year of the
horse...)...she was popular....and so I guess that is
the reason she's on the soundtrack....if anyone wants
to hunt for the soundtrack....it's the soundtrack to
"Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dreamaster"

P.P.S. Ken I got the cd single and I love it!!!!
thank you so much!

Lion

Yes, she is on the soundtrack but it is the same version that is =
contained on TLATC! IMHO not worth buying because the other music on =
the soundtrack is so STINKY!!!

All the Best,

Ken
