Hello,

BJPaddock wanted to know the favorite non-album tracks of others, go to the
next page and you will find a ranked-list of the favorite songs of about 90
persons, collected the last months. Because the questionnaire started
months ago you will not find much "Gospel Oak EP" songs mentionings but
that will probably change the coming months.

Hi all,

Last thursday I heard on the dutch radio,
that Sinead was beaten up by a taxi driver in London.

The story:
She refused to pay the driver because he should have taken a detour.
The driver spit into the face of Sinead and gave her some punches...
Sinead gave back a punch.
They both have report it to the police.

Ciao, Henko

****************
Hi There,=20
Several people have asked questions about limited editions of "Gospel Oak" =
in
the US, so......

Gospel Oak will be release on Tuesday (June 3). There will be 3 different
versions:

1. The 6 song EP: "This Is To Mother You=94, "I Am Enough For Myself", "Pet=
it
Poulet", "4 My Love=94, =93This IS a Rebel Song=94 and =93He Moved Through =
The Fair
(live).=94 This is the primary US "Gospel Oak" version; most stores will c=
arry
this version of the EP.

2. A Limited Edition CD EP/3 video VHS bonus pack. This will be available
exclusively through Borders (a national record/book retailer in the US). Th=
e
3 videos are: "This Is To Mother You" plus 2 performances from Sinead's
longform video "Year Of The Horse" which is no longer available. The VHS
video has a gold slipcase which is shrinkwrapped to the CD.

3. A Limited Edition 7 track version of "Gospel Oak" that includes a bonus =
CD
with the "Fire On Babylon (extended remix)". The artwork on this package is
exactly the same as to primary "Gospel Oak" package, except for a sticker o=
n
the front indicating the extra track/CD. This limited edition will be
available primarily through smaller, independent (Ma&Pa) stores who buy
through Alliance Distribution. =20

Later,
Linda

My favorite (although I haven't heard that much) is definitely "Ode to Billy
Jo" from the compilation album Help! It was always a favorite song of mine,
and Sinead does a superb cover of the song, rendering it powerful in a whole
new light. If you're comparing it to Bobby Gentry's version, Gentry's is more
folky, while Sinead's has a stark feel to it. It's become one of my favorite
Sinead tracks.

My knowledge of non-album tracks is also not too extensive. But of the
ones I've heard I would have to say 'You Made Me the Thief Of Your Heart' is
my favourite of them. It's one of my favourite songs by Sinead period.
It's an incredible song capturing some of the essence of Irish music
including a powerful lyric and melody.

On the Duth television yesterday they had a small gossip item on sinead.

It seems that she was going with a taxi from A to B but the driver ripped
her off by driving a wrong way.
He charged her for that but sinead knew the way there also and she said to
him that he ripped her off.
He became angry at her and sinead hitted him in the face before she left
his taxi (without paying at all).
I don't know where or when it happend, but they told it yesterday (sunday)
here on tv.

Apparently I'm going to miss her performance in Israel on the 20th (21th?)
because I'll be leaving to England several days before. However, to anyone
who is going to a trip in Israel on June, I strongly recommand it! No only
due to Sinead's performance but especially because of the place. The
Sultan's Pool is one of the most beautiful places in Jerusalem, especially
at night! The old city walls are mystically "standing" on top of the crowd
creating an exciting atmosphere. I was lucky enough to see Sinead performs
at the same place two years ago and it was just amazing!!!

Hello,

I've finally discovered the title of the second song performed by Sinead in
Rome on May 1st. The song is called "The Factory Girl" and it is a
traditional one.
As not even Mars-L knew it, as presume Sinead has never sung it before (at
public performances, of course).

The following notes are taken from the booklet of the Bothy Band's album
"Out Of The Wind Into The Sun" (1977):
---------
"The Factory Girl" has strong links with the North of Ireland, but versions
of it have been found in most part of the country. In the one given by Sam
Henry in THE SONGS OF THE PEOPLE, the young woman accepts the gentleman's
offer to make her "a great lady of fame and renown". In this version,
however, she doesn't. The rejection is thought likely to be the older of
the two endings."
---------

The arrangement by the Bothy Band is very different from the Sinead's one.

Ciao.
Rolando.

This page is most interesting, though I'm a little puzzled by it. "I Do
Not Want What I Haven't Got" comes in a distant third place for Best
Album?! I didn't think there was much question that this was her best
album (certainly the critics think so), but it's a little shocking that it
would fall this low in any case. I think I'd put the #1 ranking "The Lion
and the Cobra" in third place even somewhere after "Universal Mother," but
not by too much. It just doesn't seem as mature or accomplished as the
other two. "Am I Not Your Girl" probably shouldn't be compared with the
others.

This is not what I have been seeing. In reading various books (the All Music
Guide, Rolling Stone Rock Encyclopedia), I've seen at least half (probably
more) saying that TLATC is Sinead's best. I definitely think it is. Full of
furious passion, it is cathartic rock at its best. I love every minute of it.
UM and IDNWWIHG are great, but I prefer TLATC.

     Hi Brian

Well, you have to realise that at the time "The Lion & The Cobra" was
released there was nothing quite like it - all that raw anger and
energy - bear in mind that Sinead was 17/18 when she wrote the songs
and all of 20 years old when she recorded and co-produced the album.
Her voice really is at its best here - she took to whispering the
lyrics to her material after "I Do Not Want..." and when you have a
vocal range as great (and powerful) as Sinead's then the last thing
you should do is let the music swallow up the vocals. Granted - she
has matured enormously over the years - but I don't honestly feel that
it does her music any justice to compare her debut from '87 to
material recorded in later years. Sinead herself says that there are
certain songs from The Lion & The Cobra that she will no longer
perform because she finds them embarassing and immature - but this is
to take them out of their context - which is never fair. But I
digress, and we're all welcome to our humble opinions. All I can say
is that I'm glad she's no longer whispering - and I won't even mention
Am I Not Your Girl...a diversion at best - a waste of her talents at
     worst !

     Mandy

This is Daniel from Germany. I am receiving this list since 2 weeks and I
am happy about it.
At first, I want to tell everbody that in Germany not only the
4-track-"GOSPEL OAK" is available, the 6-track-edition is available, too.
The four track has a price about 10 DM, the 6-track about 25 DM (!!!!).

Yesterday, I read that there will be a 7-track-US-release with a Fire on
Babylon-Bonus-CD. Is it the Babylon 13:27min - Version from 1994's Thank
you for hearing me - Maxi or is it a brand new remix?

At the EMI - Page I read that Sinéad will perform on a festival in
Germany on July, 25th? This is one day after the
Stimmen-Voices-Voix-Festival in Loerrach. Does anyone know more about?

Finally, here is a statement on the "BEST ALBUM" - discussion. In my
opinion, all Sinéad - CDs are quite good, but my favorite is UNIVERSAL
MOTHER.
Nevertheless, such a discussion is quite boring!

Maybe anyone can answer my questions....

Have a nice time,

DANIEL FROM LEIPZIG.

p.s.: there is also a discussion about good non-album-releases. Well, I
think that "Breakthrough" (Rick Wright), "Ode to Billy Joe" and the
version of "Woman of Ireland" on the Ain't nuthing but a she thing -
sampler are really breathtaking!!!!!!!
p.p.s.: does anyone knows something about a Sinead performance in German TV?
Bye!

Just wanted to post an opinion about the new Gospel Oak ep I picked up
yesterday at a record store in NY. I recall someone conceding that they were
disappointed somewhat after the first take, but later recanted after several
runs through. I also recall another saying how she loved it from the start.
Well, with that in mind, I can easily understand how both views might
surface after an initial listening. I myself enjoyed the ep from the start,
yet if I were expecting anything remotely traceable to her past recordings, I
may have been a little disappointed as well.

just for the record, as of now my favorite song is #4 on the cd. It might be
titled For My Love.

andio sas,
John

The following is a review from the Mr. Showbiz Web Site. They also have t=
wo
online audio clips from the album. You can check it out and listen to the=

sound clips at http://www.mrshowbiz.com

Sin=E9ad O'Connor: Gospel Oak
Chrysalis/EMI
Rock/Pop
Rating: 85

"This Is To Mother You" (310K WAV) | RealAudio: 28.8 or 14.4
"4 My Love" (323K WAV) | RealAudio: 28.8 or 14.4

Very few performers as talented and dynamic as Sin=E9ad O'Connor are also =
as
utterly incompetent when it comes to public relations. With the exception =
of
1992's ill-advised lounge-ballads album, Am I Not Your Girl?, the quality =
of
O'Connor's music hasn't fallen off since her "Nothing Compares 2 U" heyday=
, and
yet it's as if she's fallen off the face of the Earth. Chalk it up to a
volatile mix: piteous whining about the glamorous life and merciless
condemnations of organized religion. There's nothing like brutal honesty t=
o
warm up a crowd, right?

Given her reputation, a low-key approach makes sense for O'Connor, and wit=
h
that in mind, we are given this six-song, twenty-two-minute EP. Beautiful =
and
heartfelt, while not exactly groundbreaking, Gospel Oak demonstrates, once=

again, that O'Connor has a rare ability to command the attention of her
listeners, and to nail her emotional targets with pinpoint accuracy and
startling depth. Clearly inspired by the worries and wonderment of pregnan=
cy
and motherhood, these songs offer comfort ("When you need me, I will do/ W=
hat
your own mother didn't do," she sings to her love in "This Is To Mother Yo=
u")
and hope in the face of doubt ("There isn't any answer to the question/ Yo=
u
only learn to live with it," she sings to her baby in "Petit Poulet"). Iri=
sh
folk inflections abound, with a low whistle on the Van Morrison-like "I Am=

Enough for Myself," and accordion on the West African-influenced "Petit Po=
ulet"
and "4 My Love," the most compelling track on this wondrous little EP.

Yesterday I went to my local Borders store and bought the Gospel Oak CD
with video. The 2 tracks from the Year of the Horse are Jersalem and
Nothing compares 2 U. I was excited to get this video since the only
other one I have is The Long Black Veil. I didn't like the Jersalem
video but the other 2 were great! I can't remember if the list has
talked about the video for This is to Mother you--if we haven't post
it on the list and I will describe what it looks like.

Hi, everybody!

Yesterday I read on a "black board" in my university that Sinead will
perform in Jena (Eastern Germany). Does anybody know more about this Gig?
I can remember that the festival is called KULTUR-ARENA.

So please help me. I think this would be the very first concert in ther
former GDR?!
So I keep my fingers crossing.

Once again: JENA (Germany)
	    THIS SUMMER
 	    KULTURARENA - Festival.

Bye,

Daniel from Leipzig.

Here's a less than glowing review of the gospel oak ep from today's
newspaper:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

** (out of 5)

If it weren't for the dedication on the liner notes - "these songs are
dedicated to the people of israel, rwanda and ireland" - and the final song
on this six-cut 'extended play' release, one might suspect the fully folicled
(ed: she has hair now) sinead had lost her edge.

The record begins so softly, so peacefully, that all you feel is warm, fuzzy
waves of mothering energy.

Gone is the shrieking, the yelling and razor-sharp political rants. And sadly,
for some of us _lion and the cobra_ lovers, the shrieking tirades at the
establishment bastions of power were the best part.

The fifth track, "this is a rebel song", is the one song that passes through
several gentle movements and actually succeeds in being memorable - even
though it doesn't feel like a 'rebel song' at all.

Over-all, gospel oak is along the lines of an adult lullaby. The percussion
is kept to a bare minimum, the beat is lethargic and her vocals are fully
restrained.

If the songs relied more on good melody instead of graceful instrumental
layering and o'connor's technically-improved voice, all that restraint
would have been a welcome change.

As it spins, however, there's just not enough here to pull you in.

-katherine monk, the vancouver sun

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't remember if anyone mentioned anthing about the 20 seconds or so of
male singing after 'he walked through the fair'...any special significance??

jenny.

Sorry to interrupt, but I'm fairly desperate.

I have 5 tickets to the Guiness Fleadh Festival that I *have* to get rid
of. The festivl is going to be held on Saturday June 14 from 11am to 11pm
on Randall's Island in NYC. The tickets are $60 each general admission,
American Xpress VIP (which I think includes a schedule bus and some sort
of special pass, but I could find out more about that)

Of course, Sinead O'Connor will be there along with Van Morrison, and many
many more artists of an Irish heritage. There will be 3 stages of
continuous music.

I am willing to negotiate.

Thanks very much,
Sheila Rudy

I ran into the same problem last year when I was trying to find out info
for another band. Ticketmaster et al. won't *know* anything until the
concert is *officially* announced, which is usually about 5 or 6 days
before the tickets go on sale. So if TM doesn't know anything, well
that's a good sign. Just keep your ears open for concert announcements
on the radio and to help others, maybe tell it to the list when you do
hear it :)

My own question, does anyone know the rate that these tickets will sell?
Sinead has been lying low, but she does have a sold fan base, will they
go quickly then?

Suzy

I'm sorry, I want to correct myself. Sinead WILL appear in the Sultan's
Pool on the 21th and this is final. However, I was right about her being
invited by a left wing organization. the concert will be under the call:
"Two states and two cities for two people" which means for simple: the
division of Jerusalem between the Israelies and the Palestinians. I don't
know if Sinead realize that most of us in Israel take these stuff very
seriously and most of us refuse to any division of Jerusalem. So I'm not
sure that after all these ads Sinead will have easy times in her visit,
and I'm not sure at all that her concert will be taken without any protest
from the crowd.

Bye,
Yoav.

Daniel, might this be the concert mentioned without details on the EMI-site
? planned for July 25th ? They just mention she will perform on that date
in Germany, but don't mention where.

I got some mails recently from people asking me about the prices of those
sinead video's i had (and have) to offer with all the different clips on it
and so on.
I ask $20 for one tape, let me explain why.

I have to buy a blank video tape for every copy i make. I'm living in the
Netherlands and blank video-tapes costs
about $6 here.
I only have one vcr so everytime i have 'enough' people wanting a video
tape i go to a video store and rent a vcr for a weekend. This cost me $10.
I have a lot of video clips on the official promo video's wich i payd
between the $10 and $20 for (this for only one clip from say 3/4 minutes).
Those clips are not on one tape i put in the vcr player and let's dub, no,
every 4 minutes i have to put a new video in the player to record one clip.
That means that i'm making $4 profit on one tape while i cannot do anything
else during that period.

So, if you ever wondered why a video tape here costs $$20, that's the
reason why.

Eduard (who is thinking hard on not doing any more of those video's)

Is there any possibility you can find the lyrics to this song ???? Or
someone else ???

------------------------------
Also someone wrote about the Sinead Questionnaire Results Page on my Sinead
Site;

The results are exactly what they say; Results of a Questionnaire about
Sineads Music, nothing more nothing less. Till now over a 100 people have
filled in the questionnaire and most of them are fans, who have heard more
of her music then most magazine-critics who must listen to the songs just
to make a living wether they like the album or not and wether they know her
previous material or not. The results are not based on any
logical/explainable comparising with the other albums, just the taste of fans.
Though the albums are not compared by officials on logical comparisments I
do think the ranking of those 4 albums is very good, even though UM is my
favorite. All the other results (singles/B-sides/guest etc) are discussable
because a lot of people who did fill in the questionnaire haven't heard all
the rare songs. So it's logical Troy and Nothing Compares 2 U are always
nr. 1 or close to nr 1.

For reasons (unknown to me which ones), Sinead's appearance at this event

Hello,

This review of The Gospel Oak EP, was found on the Net by Mandy Green, and
is printed here without permission of the writer.....(Bad me)

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO SIN=C9AD=20

Sin=E9ad O'Connor abandons her campaign to become the J.D. Salinger of rock
'n' roll and returns with a brief but powerful EP.=20
In a long list of mercurial artists that defy commercial expectations (one
that includes Bob Dylan and Neil Young at its head), Sin=E9ad O'Connor stand=
s
out for several reasons. First off, the amount of hostility she has been
able to generate in this country, particularly by ripping up a picture of
the Pope on Saturday Night Live and refusing to have the national anthem
played at one of her concerts, is startling. Five years later, people who
have never even heard one of her records still get all riled up at the mere
mention of her name. Secondly, her strange flirtation with the top of the
pop charts and subsequent hasty retreat didn't come after many years of a
prolific career, as in the case of Dylan or Young, but after just seven
years and a handful of albums in the public eye. O'Connor seemed to
compress an entire career into that short time span. She retreated so
rapidly into her shell that, after her so-so 1994 album Universal Mother,
many thought she would never return to performing again. Luckily she has,
and this unfortunately brief EP contains some of the best work she has done
since her classic 1990 album I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got.=20

Gospel Oak continues many of the lyrical themes that have haunted
O'Connor's work -- the Irish revolt, motherhood, death and rebirth -- and
adds a strong production that strengthens the melancholy and sweetens the
melodies. As with Dylan and Young, it's easy to read all kinds of messages
into the mythic nature of her lyrics. Is she singing to a real-life lover?
To her troubled homeland? To her loyal and disloyal fans? In the lead-off
track, This Is to Mother You, sheseductively promises her lover (her
country? her fans?) the maternal love they have always been denied: "This
is to be with you/To hold you and to kiss you too/For when you need me I
will do/What your own mother didn't do/Which is to mother you." In the lush
"I Am Enough for Myself" she declares her independence from everything but
God, and in the beautiful "This Is a Rebel Song" she gently confronts the
UK over its treatment of Ireland over the centuries, gracefully avoiding
shrill politics. There's really not a bad track on this EP, and it only
makes the listener wish that O'Connor would capitalize on this creative
resurgence and return with a full-length album as soon as possible. -- John

Hello, everybody!
Last week I told you that there were rumors about sinead playing in
Eastern Germany this summer.
Well, it's no rumor any longer - on Friday I called the JENA INFORMATION
SERVICE and a friendly woman told me that Sinead is this "Pop-Irin
O'Conner" (as it was written on my university's blackboard)!

The concert will be on FRIDAY, 25th of July (Mars-L, you were right!),
the location is to be confirmed. They also told me that 3000 tickets will be
available, the ticket sale will start this Wednesday.

Jena is located in "Thueringen", one of the five "new" federal states of
Germany. Of course, I will go to the concert. Information about the price
of a ticket is coming soon!

DANIEL.

Hi everyone,
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but there is a really good article
on "Gospel Oak" in the May 22 issue of the online music mag "Addicted To
Noise".

www.addict.com

The easiest way to find the article (in my opinion, anyway) is to scroll down
to the bottom of their home page, click on the "Search" and then type in
Sinead's name.

Later,
Linda

P.S. Sinead will tour the US with a band (11 members total)!

On the new cd ads here in Israel it was said that Sinead writes on the
cd-cover that the songs are dedicated to the people of Israel. This is, of
course, very pleasing to the ears. However, on the sleeve it is written:
"These songs are dedicated to the people of Israel, Rwanda & Northern
Ireland". Now this is umiliating! I mean, putting Israel, which is a
western and modern country, with Rwanda. To a common Israeli this would
really be umiliating. However, thinking about it, I believe that Sinead
refers to the hatered between the citizens in these three countries
that should be stopped. I remember how, 1.5 years ago, when our PM Ramin
was murdered, our small country was in front a civil war. Just like in
northern Ireland. I believe now that a civil war would have been caused
unless each of us knew that we still must unite against a greater
enemy: The Arabs. But despite that, the differences, and even the hatered
between the seculars and the religious Jews in Israel remain.
Sinead wants to tell us in this cd that we should love each other more.

Yoav.

In a message dated 6/8/97 9:44:48 AM, you wrote:

I have to buy a blank video tape for every copy i make. I'm living in the

about $6 here.

Actually, you're making more than $4 profit per tape... if you wait until you
have a lot of people to rent the extra VCR, then the cost of that VCR rental
is divided by the number of people you're copying tapes for... Quite a hefty
profit... not huge, but more than enough for your "effort" to reproduce
(copyrighted?) material...

Just incase anyone cared what RollingStones Mag. had 2 say.. :- )
Sinead O'Connor
(EMI)

On the surface, Sinead O'Connor's six-song EP, "Gospel Oak," is a soothing
hot tub of Celtic New Age atmospherics and polite hip-hop grooves. Barely
audible over the Jacuzzi-friendly instrumentation is the sound of O'Connor
talking to herself. Listen closely to what she says and this record doesn't
seem quite so comforting.

The effect is like eavesdropping on a bedside prayer or a 2 a.m. conversation
between an embattled couple. "Your rage is like a fist in my womb," O'Connor
sings in a hushed voice, as though trying not to wake the baby in the next
room. "Can't you forgive what you think I've done?" There are songs about
mothering and motherhood, spiritual orphans and distant lovers, and, on "This
Is a Rebel Song," barriers both emotional and political that separate an
Irishwoman from the "hard Englishman" she craves to understand.

But the O'Connor who attacked high notes with biblical fury on her debut
album a decade ago is long gone, and she could stand to make a few more
ripples on this relatively placid release. The blend of funky drummer beats
and Irish instrumental inflections on "Petit Poulet" and "4 My Love" is
enticing, but too often, "Gospel Oak" suggests the mystic easy listening of
O'Connor's countrywoman Enya. At the very least, "Gospel Oak" is
well-crafted: The melodies are slight but stately; the production
unobtrusive, although the occasional use of unnatural reverb and
multitracking to thicken O'Connor's voice is a distraction.

She's at her best when the gimmicks and sweeteners are cleared away. On "He
Moved Through the Fair," accompanied by little more than an acoustic guitar
and atmospheric keyboards, O'Connor is miked so closely, one can hear her
inhaling before starting a phrase. It's a rare unguarded moment in a record
that exposes its scars almost too tastefully. (RS 763)

Yaov, I would prefer if you kept your racist comments about "the Arabs" and
Rwanda off the list. If you listened to Sine/ad's music carefully you would
realize that she sings of peace for ALL humanity. I think songs like "This
IS a rebel song" could just as well apply to Isreal as to Northern Ireland.
 Try listening to the music.

A talent for passionate pop Your news
                                                   selection in
                 Sin=E9ad O'Connor                   the Personal
                  UEA, Norwich Times

SINEAD O'CONNOR'S reputation paints her as a [Image]
latter-day John Lennon. She has the same
predilection for provocative political Next page:
gestures, the same obsessive reworking of her Classical
relationship with her mother, even the same concert -
desire to include her offspring on her OAE/Rattle,
recordings. But, crucially, she also shares a Queen
talent for turning her insecurities and anger Elizabeth
into passionate pop music. Hall, London

There was little sign of the firebrand during [Contact Us]
this concert, one of her first UK
performances since 1995. True, the second
song was Famine, a polemic against English
  imperialism and Irish oppression. This,
however, is the mildest form of rap,
delivered with the soothing assurance of a
  Sunday schoolteacher, and decorated with
bewitching snatches of Eleanor Rigby. Yet her
refusal to rant gives the sentiments a quiet
  authority.

O'Connor has the knack of seeming both
vulnerable and assured, both fragile and
resilient. She can appear to be shy. Her
stage chat is mumbled into the microphone,
her words swallowed in embarrassment. Her
awkwardness is mirrored in the gawky
discomfort of her four backing singers. But
when they joined together on This Is To
Mother You from her new EP, the breathy
hesitancy of the opening is swept away upon a
gospel chorus of five voices locked in
  harmony.

These days her music has a strong Celtic
feel, but it is folk singing mixed with the
swagger of rock and the sway of reggae and
Irish reels. Her six-piece band help to mark
out the emotional storyline of her songs.
Thank You for Hearing Me starts as a lilting
  traditional song, O'Connor's voice shimmering
on the surface; but before long it is joined
by Clare Kenny's rumbling bass and the song
billows into life, like a becalmed yacht
  catching a gust of wind.

Her show opens with The Emperor's New Clothes
and closes with Fire on Babylon, two
stridently confident songs. In between, the
emotional territory is more confused, and
more intriguing, especially on the beautiful
John I Love You (from Universal Mother) and
Petit Poulet (from the Gospel Oak EP).

Her singing is often unadorned and
understated, and often buried in the mix, but
suddenly it will break free in an
exhilarating, preening swoop. She may no
longer be the feisty, cussed woman she once
was, but O'Connor is still a captivating
  performer.

I really don't think that this issue is interesting at all but I still
must reply to that one.

It is very easy to attach a stigma of a "racist" to a person. All I said
was that Israel is a modern country, and Rwanda is not (which is true) and
that the Arabs are our greatest enemy (which is also true). There is
nothing racist at all about it, of course, and I far from being one. In
fact, I belong to the left-wing in our society, and I'm a great Labour
supporter. But it seems to be so easy to write that someone is "racist",
isn't it?

Yoav.

Hello,

I just bought the US release of the gospel oak EP, and I was suprised to
find out it's a double-cd. It seems like they first pressed the 6-track EP
ready to be sold, and after it was finished they decided to add another
song, and so included a bonus cd. The inlay doesn't even mention the extra
cd, just a sticker on the jewelcase mentions it. They even put another
sticker over the catalogue nr. to give it another catalogue number.

So infact it's a 6+1 cd.
Does there also exist a single cd containing all 7 tracks on one disc ????

BTW; EMI lied !! They mention that on the bonus cd there is a PREVIOUSLY
UNRELEASED track called Fire On Babylon Extended Version (that's what they
say on the sticker) and on the disc they call the track Fire On Babylon
(Eternal Recurrence Mix). Infact it's just the same track that already got
released in 1994 on the (i.e.) Thank You For Hearing Me Part 1 CD released
in the UK, called Fire On Babylon Remix.......
