The Lifetime cable network will be showing a one hour concert clip of
Sinead O'Connor playing in the Netherlands on Jan. 16/91, at 9:00pm.

That's all the info I have ...

gld

PS: Lifetime seems to have some interesting old concert clips every
once in a while. They showed an old Prince's Trust show on Dec. 31,
and a Tina Turner concert in London circa "Private Dancer".

Some questions to liven up this list a bit (is there anybody out there?):

1. What do you like about Sinead and her music/style?
(ie why are you reading this list?)

2. What is your favorite Sinead song and why?

3. Which song contains your favorite lyrics? what are they?

4. Which song contains your favorite music/sounds?

5. Are the other albums as good as the last two?
What is your favorite album overall? ie, which has the *most* good songs?

--> Some questions to liven up this list a bit (is there anybody out there?):
Thank goodness!
-->
--> 1. What do you like about Sinead and her music/style?
Her incredible vocals and the personal lyrics and singing style.

--> 2. What is your favorite Sinead song and why?
My favourite Sinead song is probavbly "I Am Stretched On Your Grave" [for dancing] but otherwise it might be "Last Day Of Our Acquaintance","Troy" or "Feel So
Different".
-->
--> 3. Which song contains your favorite lyrics? what are they?
Hmmm, they are in "IMSOYG" and are "My apple tree, my brightness, it's time we
were together" AND in "FSD" "I am not like I was before..."

--> 4. Which song contains your favorite music/sounds?
Well, "Troy", "I Want Your Hands (On Me)" and "I Am Stretched On Your Grave".
-->
--> 5. Are the other albums as good as the last two?
Umm, dear, SINEAD O'CONNOR only has recorded two full-length albums as far as I
know. I think "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" has more *great* songs on it
than "The Lion and The Cobra".

Babies?).
I didn't stay awake long enuf to see anything after 12:30.
What did I miss?

Saturday's SNL was a repeat; the show was originally broadcast on
September 29, 1990. Sinead did a mildly disjoint "Three Babies", and
returned for a seriously rocking "This Is The Last Day of Our
Acquaintance", dedicated "to women everywhere".

When this was first shown in September, the West Coast (US) satellite
feed went down for 13 minutes, and cut off the last part of Kyle
MacLachlan's "Twin Peaks" skit, and all but the last 40 seconds or so
of "Three Babies". I'm glad they chose to replay it, but didn't have
my VCR around and was not able to tape "Three Babies".

Yeah, I felt kinda embarrassed to be seen watching that performance.
(My friends were there watching it because I had said wonderful things
about Sinead...) I decided I didn't want to watch the 2nd song too.

Hello, I just wanted to ask a quick collective question before I go
into alot of work. Last night I got a copy of a Sinead tape with the
lyrics included (mine does not.) I had planned to type in all the lyrics,
but thought that surely someone on this list has them archived somewhere.
If someone does have them (to both albums) please send them to me, I
would appreciate it.
Also what is the name of the movie that Sinead is in? I saw part of it
on the TV (possilby eMpTyV) and was just wondering what? and how? Any
information oh Gurus of the woman?

A reminder to U.S. readers -- Sinead's concert video "Year of the
Horse" will be shown on the LIFETIME cable channel today, Wednesday,
16 January 1991, at 10 PM EST/PST (9 PM CST). It is one hour long.

My understanding is that this is live footage of Sinead's 1990
tour(s), with much of the material from one or more concerts in
Amsterdam.

Does anyone know if the concert is on again? I taped it in SP sby mistake and
ran out of tape so I had to hurriedly rewind the tape. I have all of it, but
it is randomly on the tape.

If anyone knowswhen/if they are repeating it, post! Thanks!

I just picked up _Sinead_ , SOC's bio by Jimmy Guterman, and in it he
mentions the P.W.A t-shirt which was discussed here when SOC was on
tour. He says it means "Paddy With Attitude", and she wears it because
the music she most likes to listen to is NWA and Public Enemy.

I wonder if he knows what he's talking about...

What does "Paddy with Attitude" mean?? Also, when I was home I had the
opportunity to rent a bunch of kool music videos and ran out of time before
getting a chance to see one by Sinead. What are her videos like and would
it probably be worthwhile? I have seen one of her videos (I think it was
"Last Day of our Acquaintance") and it was good - very realistic, no special
effects, and basically moving - in consonance with the song.

"Paddy With Attitude" would mean the same as "Niggas (sic) With
Attitude", except for a Paddy (derrogatory slang for Irish{wo}man).

SOC's videos are GREAT, "Nothing Compares 2 U"won
Best Video, Best Female Video, and Best Post-Modern Video, at the MTV
Music Video Awards. Also "The Emporer's New Clothes" is a wonderful
video.

I still would like to know a little more about SOC's son. What was the situation? Who (or where) is the father? Does anyone know?

Matt
