[The cat that glowed]

"we don't trade money here
we trade information and skin."

-- nicole blackman, "the ambitions are"

You were expecting the type of compulsive autobiography that one comes across on people's Web pages, weren't you? Well, be patient -- I am assembling a set of fictional selves to intermingle with the real one, so that the reader can, in the best tradition of postmodernism, construct the author, in the same way that the author constructs the reader.

In the meantime, you can go over to the navigation frame on the left, click on the icon of the guy leaning on the inflatable raft, and get a more recent photo of me and, I suppose, a grudging few words of personal content.

If you insist, you can still access the really old page, complete with its collection of wheezy old links, many of which are out of date. And if you somehow got here and don't have a frame-capable browser, (or just don't like frames) there's a non-frame version too.

Patti Smith rules, but you knew that.
